It’s light, thin, and warm?!

It’s a pretty phenomenal jacket so far! I’ve found that other reviewers comments that t-shirt underneath is all you need for most runs until you get down to below freezing.

Great breathable winter jacket

I’ve tested this jacket from 25-40 degrees. It is warm but breathes well. If colder a thicker base layer would help compensate. One large inside pocket big enough for a phone but I wish it had more stash pockets.

Very Functional

I was only somewhat doubtful to the functionality of the Thermal Zephyr Runner jacket, but as my cool and sometimes cold weather runs progressed, this jacket was quite a pleasant surprise. The texture & construction of the jacket does indeed act as an insulating garment the it could be too easy to overdress for a cold run. I live in the Midwest, so our winters can be cold and very windy, as well.I’m glad I bought large so layering wasn’t an issue.

Lightweight warmth

I got this jacket for my dad for Christmas. He gets cold easily and he plans to use it for his morning walks or early morning tee times. He loves it. It's super lightweight but has surprising warmth. The pockets are nice and he appreciates the elastic band at the wrists to keep the cold out. Thank you, Janji!

Witchcraft!

What kind of dark magic witchcraft was used to create this jacket!? Don't let the super lightweight and thin material fool you - this is a seriously warm jacket. Putting it on the first time I instantly felt the heat radiating back to my body.

Which means you seriously have to think about what you wear on your run. Anything in the 40's and I am too hot with anything else other than a tshirt under it. In fact I have stopped running in it in any weather above 40f. Today's run in 28f weather saw me in my AFO shorts (yeah, I wear those ALL year!!), the new merino long sleeve top and this jacket, and by mile 5 I was over heating!

If you run in cold weather this is definitely a must have for your cold weather gear!

UPDATE - I feel the need to add to this post... this mornings run was done in 15f/-9c weather, wearing my AFO shorts (yep, I truly do wear those ALL year round), an ioMerino base layer (for me they are the best merino products out there bar none - sorry Janji!), a Repeat Merino Tech long sleeve (but I didn't say your merino products weren't any good!) and the Zephyr thermal jacket. By mile 2 I was too hot and had to do the rest of the 5 miles with the jacket zipped open! Seriously the best winter running jacket ever.

Finally!!!

I've been waiting for years for Janji to release a brightly colored insulated jacket, and it's finally here! Haven't had a chance to really test it too much yet, but first impressions are it's super lightweight and comfortable. I live up in Maine, so I'll be putting that 15-45°F temp rating to the test. Nicely done, Janji!

Really Great Lightweight Jacket!

This Jacket is worth every penny. It's lightweight and breathable, but also has enough warmth to keep you going on a run in the wind, rain, and any other elements that mother nature might throw your way. It's got a pocket on the inside to keep your belongings, true to size (I bought a medium and am 5'10 and 183), and very comfortable to wear. While I might not necessarily wear this in the cold winter months without some base layers underneath, this coat has fast become my go-to choice for a breezy/chilly day. HIGHLY recommend!

Weird Fit In Shoulder Area

I wanted a jacket that would replace my puffy. The problem was my puffy didn't fit in my backpack. As far as packability, the Janji is amazing. However, the fit in the shoulder area is weird, and is the reason I am returning the jacket. Excess material at shoulder area. When I pull up, I am able to fully cross my arms. I don't need that much material. It makes the jacket fit incorrectly.
