I've owned a few different versions of the 3" shorts from Janji, and these are the best. I hope they never change! I immediately bought another pair after my first run in these. They are airy and light—feels like you're wearing nothing. They hold your phone securely just above your butt—no bounce at all (iPhone 11 Pro). Every other pair of shorts I've tried with a phone pocket there has bounced, making it useless as a phone pocket. Perfect, perfect, perfect. I'd replace all my running shorts with these right now if I could afford it.

Move like the wind and stay cool

Love these shorts. Material is super lightweight but good construction. I’ve run about 30-35 miles in these so far and they’ve felt great every time. Slits on sides and comfy waistband let me run totally unencumbered. On hot days these are clutch, especially.

3.0 Is the way to go

AFO split short 3.0 improves on v2.0 (which I liked less than v1.0), with better fit and even lighter fabric. Never could really use the rear pocket, so no tears for its disappearance

Lightweight & Cool

Tested running 10k in downtown Phoenix in just under 90F this weekend. Much cooler than similar lulu shorts. These were breezy and so light they were nearly nonexistent. Plus they kept my iPhone solidly stowed on my low back without getting terribly sweaty. Love the pattern and will def be adding another pair.

These are excellent! Fit perfect, extremely light weight, and so breathable. I’ve had all three versions of these shorts and these are the best ones yet. I never had any complaints about the previous ones, but I love that this time around they forgo the zipper pocket in the back. This saves a surprising amount of weight, and with the two, non-zippered internal pockets I still have plenty of storage for my keys (which is all I ever carry). Absolutely the best shorts I’ve ever worn for running.
