This jacket breathes very easily and is among the lightest waterproof jackets I have come across. It will definitely keep you dry in strong downpours while not forcing you to sweat too much or warm on the cooler, windy days.
The fit is athletic but not too constricting if you have some muscle on you.
This jacket delivers, as advertised. I have run in the rain anywhere from 35-45 degrees and it keeps me warm and dry without overheating. Usually, if it is above 40 and I run in a jacket, I end up drenched in sweat, but this jacket just vents so, so well. I've also used it as a wind shield when the weather was in the low 20's with 15-20 mph winds and it kept the wind out really well. It's not going to completely cover you in a torrential downpour, but I don't really need that in a running rain jacket.
This is probably one of the best jackets I have ever owned. In addition to be great when it rains, I found that it works very well as light shell in cold or very cold weather. I like the way it packs small.
This purchase was my first for a running jacket and after reading so many jacket reviews and product descriptions, I settled on this. I am very pleased with it. I'm a pretty warm person so jackets for the rain is something I've had difficulty finding. For the weather here in Portland, OR, the winters never really get too cold and generally hovers in the 40's. I enjoy this jacket during these temps and anything below. Also, the color is awesome and I think it helps with visibility during dimmer light. Bravo Janji!
Es una chamarra ligera repelente al agua, la recomiendo mucho ya que las especificaciones indican lo que realmente es la marca. Calidad.
This is the best jacket I've even owned in my 30 years of running! I have had this out on multiple runs in the rain and stayed warm in dry. Temps ranged from low 40's to low 30s. Worth every penny!
I love this jacket. I admit that I debated buying it for a year- it's a little pricey and I wasn't thrilled with last year's black. I kept searching all the lightweight, water proof jackets for running and hiking. I kept coming back to Janji, and when they came out with colors bought the orangish one for myself. I wear it for EVERYTHING-- running in the rain, mountain biking, cross country skiing, hiking. It's light, it's packable, it's waterproof, and it doesn't make that squishy nylon sound most jackets make. I bought this one for my husband- it just arrived yesterday and he can't wait to try it today. I know he'll love it.
I know.. it's expensive. But it is worth it.
For someone like myself who lives in a cold rainy city, this jacket does it's job in keeping me dry. And the slits around the chest provide a good amount of ventilation. Feom the photos and first examining the jacket, I thought that it would not retain any warmth due to the number of slits, but I realize that this isn't the case. It is extremely lightweight. The pockets are plentiful. A+
Only gripe comes in the strap found in the pocket used to put around arm when stuffed away. It seems to be losing its elasticity after only a few uses. Maybe next jacket will come with two straps for better hold?
Love my new Rainrunner jacket! It's incredibly light weight and perfect for running in any weather.
I live northwest of Chicago, so I often need to deal with cold, wet running conditions during transition seasons. I’ve tried many running rainwear solutions over the years, and the Rainrunner is the only one that allows me to keep the cold rain and wind out, without getting soaked in sweat in the process. Kudos to Janji for such a completely effective design.
