HEADS UP — JANJI GEAR IS LIMITED RUN AND CAN SELL OUT QUICKLY.
This jacket is the most versatile jacket I have ever owned! Hands down! I was a runner/yoga aficionada before I was a mom-- and I used to have lots of space in the car for extra gear. Now the car is full of all kinds of kid stuff and room for my gear is limited. I have to get a run in where I can (while junior is at Ninja, between the end of my workday and before picking him up from after care, and on weekends with him in tow). I never know when I will get the chance, I love to have gear that can handle any kind of weather on hand. THE STORMRUNNER is the gear! It is warm enough to handle cold weather, but I have worn as a windbreaker in windy warmer weather too. If it is damp out or even rainy, it keeps me warm. Recently, with Covid, I have taken up biking too, and the STORMRUNNER does a great job at blocking the breeze in cool biking weather. I also love that it is not bulky, so I can wear a vest over it. In this way, it is not like a standard bulky fleece, but it is warm like a fleece. I can't recommend this jacket highly enough.
This jacket has become the main jacket I wear on any run that is below 30 deg. It is warm, and you can layer underneath to keep even warmer. Also the inside zipper pocket is perfect for my phone (I've got an Iphone 7) which does not bounce as I run!! The material also feels amazing and fits perfectly.
I've been wearing this jacket so often lately I had to write a review. Its waffle fleece is soft and comfortable (I'm always skeptical of zippered layers), it fits great (with or without a layer underneath), and is absolutely perfect for cold weather running. Also, love the reflective details on the cuffs!! This is one of my favorite layers from Janji for sure.
The jacket is light and breathable yet warm enough for the cold evening runs
I have this in women's. The waffle pattern insulation is very warm. Inside front pocket FINALLY in a women's jacket. Tight at the wrists to keep moisture out. Water beads off the outside so I'm never wet. Collar is structured and sits nicely. It's so stylish, I'll wear it both for athletics, casually, and even over a dress. It's a great simple staple piece that is thoughtfully designed!
I wasn't convinced when I bought this jacket but I thought I'd give it a try. I was able to swap it out for a fleece and a long sleeved dri fit type jacket and still stay warm. The material is a bit stiff but I think that helps with wind/water repelling and I honestly can't say it bothered me. Most trendy sportswear these days is tight but this looks fitted without being tight. For reference I am 5' 5'' and 120 lbs. I have a bit of room to spare around the waist , which I like. If I could change anything, it would be to put thumb slits into the sleeves. Other than that, it's pretty great.
This is by far my favorite jacket to layer with in winter temps. It insulates really well but never feels too hot or uncomfortable. Love that it’s stylish enough to wear when not running.
I can't say enough good things about the stormrunner! It is the perfect weight for so many things...over a t-shirt when it's first starting to get cold (40s-50s), and over another layer or two when it's actually cold (20s and 30s.) I love that the fit is a little looser so that I can wear layers underneath without feeling too puffy. The sleeves are long enough to provide a little hand coverage, which is great so I don't have any cold gaps with my gloves. It also does really well in the wind or snow - it's also good in a drizzle, but wouldn't wear it in a downpour. This is really the perfect run/hike/XC ski jacket!
I love this jacket and wish it came in more colors! It's comfortable and stylish and I need one that doesn't routinely get sweaty. Does great in layers, and have worn it every day for the past two weeks running but I really would like one for everyday life, too!
I wore this jacket on a 10 miler this morning in “real feel” 18 and couldn’t get over how comfortable I was. Sleeves are a touch long, but better long than short!
