Great light weight jacket
Like the jacket and was able to be comfortable in high 20s with a layer underneath. Sleeves are perfect length for my extra long arms :). I am 5’6 and 127-130 lbs. there’s room for a second layer when temps get in the 10s. It’s so lightweight…and color - graphite blue - goes with everything! I feel like a minimalista when running!
I had my doubts when I took this out of the package… It is so lightweight and I did not think it could possibly keep me warm on winter runs. But it’s almost shocking how warm I stay in it! I don’t overheat, but it keeps my body at a perfect temperature for cold day runs. I have been out in the upper 20s in this jacket and I’m sure it would keep me warm even in colder temps. Thx Janji! I love this jacket. It is my go to now. I did read some reviews that say it ran small… I’m not finding that. I wear a small in all Janji tops/jackets and this one is no exception. I appreciate the consistency in the sizing.
Would like an outside pocket (s)
The best lightweight, warmth outer layer. Fit is great (xs 5' 4", 110lbs) cardinal color is eye-catching but no obnoxious. Zips easy and is comfortable.
Snagged the obsidian on sale and had to come back for this gorgeous color. It's very lightweight and has an inner zip pocket perfect to store your keys and a mask - just wish it had outer zip pockets as well. It's extremely warm for how lightweight it is and has held up really well except for sub zero real-feel temps in Boston. Definitely not cheap, but I'm glad I saved up for these and don't regret getting a second color. Expecting these to hold up very well for years to come.
I bought this jacket after loving the original Zephyr Runner jacket for rainy days. I wasn’t sure if I’d get a ton of use out of it as I run in the Sonoran desert of Arizona, but I’ve worn it so much this winter on chilly morning runs when the temps are upper 30s to low 50s. Most days I can wear it with just a sports bra underneath and it keeps me plenty warm, but I can throw on a long sleeve base if needed. It’s great at shielding me from the wind and I love how packable it is, plus the cardinal color is gorgeous. Only wish it came in more colors!
I live in the Midwest, so running throughout the year can require a few different layers. When I first bought this jacket, I was a little skeptical since it was so light and thin, but it really solves every problem I've had with running in the winter. Paired with a thermal shirt underneath, I can wear it in sub-zero temps without getting too cold. It's also not too warm on a 30 or 40 degree day. It does a great job keeping the wind off my chest when its zipped all the way up.
So I have tried a BUNCH of different running coats and I can easily say that the Janji one is the best and this is after trying coats from Brooks, ON, New Balance and Craft. The Zephyr is super light and can break down into a very small square which makes it easy to have with me everywhere. Its great at temp regulation with the snap and the ability to tighten the bottom (I've worn it in 20-40 weather with only a long sleeve and have been TOASTY). Plus, the cardinal red is super visible for night runs!
