sustainability

Beginning in 2021, we reengineered our Transit Tech fabric to be made from recycled polyester instead of virgin poly, lowering the impact of this textile. We also increased the stretch and reduced the weight while we were at it to improve overall comfort and performance.

Transit Tech uses a short-chain C6 DWR finish that, while better than long-chain DWR applications, we recognize is not environmentally ideal as it is PFC-based. However, C6 DWR does provide the best performing and longest-lasting water repellency we have found so far on soft-shell fabrics. Because of this we have chosen to use it on select products while we continue to research PFC-free alternatives, like the water repellency used on our Zephyr Runner fabric.

Our Transit Tech fabric is also bluesign® certified meaning it is free from harmful chemicals and is fabricated in a way that meets a high environmental standard.

Comfortable and perfect length

My husband loves these- they are his "dress up" shorts. They are a great length (not so long that they look like basketball shorts), and they feel appropriate for wearing around town or into a restaurant in the summer. Light weight, comfortable fabric, he has them in two different colors.

Excellent quality and fit

Comfy enough for running but I wear them for gym as well. Good length. Great choice if you want linerless and pockets!

Great Spring Shorts

I've loving these shorts, and just bought another pair in a different color. They're comfortable and functional during a workout, and then fashionable enough to transition to the after-party. The front pockets are great and unobtrusive, and the back zip pocket holds my ID and keys easily. These will definitely be in my go-to rotation this spring and summer.

Amazing update

I also have the Midnight TT Shorts from last year, and these feel better than ever. I love the new zipper(s) and design. I usually pair these shorts with the Rainrunner when it's pouring and they feel great while keeping my phone dry. They are also sleek enough to run errands with and perfect for any summer outing.

Versatile

These shorts are super comfortable, fit is great and they offer plenty of coverage for a variety of adventures. I plan to take them not only hiking/running, but also on some river trips and bouldering/scrambling.

Pretty perfect. Appreciate the linerless option. I’m using for backpacking and I’d skip the zippers or ditch the pockets altogether to cut down on weight and potential pressure points.

The Daily Activity Shorts

The pockets and overall feel of the fabric are top-notch. If you guys could make a liner version of these shorts, I'd buy multiple pairs. Really consider that for the future!

On the website, it is labeled "6" Transit Tech Short," so I was expecting the same cut as the earlier version of the short with the same label/title, which which I had purchased in Midnight and like very much. On the tag attached to this new version of the short, it is labeled "Men's 7" Transit Tech Short." And despite the appearance in the photo of the same cut as the earlier version, the inseam is actually 5", and, at least on the Small, the cut is less tapered than that earlier version.
