sustainability

The first rule to making something sustainable? Build it to last. This short is built to endure the rigors of serious wear. We removed zippers, because they will inevitably fail. We made it out of our AFO-Vent fabric — a durable nylon that is lightweight yet tough, abrasion resistant, odor resistant and will retain its shape. We changed the drawcord to an infinity loop that will not get tugged out in the wash and we reinforced the pocket openings with 14 bar tacks.

Our AFO-Vent fabric is also bluesign® certified meaning it is free from harmful chemicals and is fabricated in a way that meets a high environmental standard.

Love these shorts for running and adventuring.

I only ever run in 2 in 1 shorts due to chafing of my upper thighs and these shorts are top tier. Wish the inseam on the outer shorts came in a shorter option but these are great nonetheless.

Fiance loves them!

I've been completely in love with all of the Janji gear I've gotten over the last year, so I got these for my fiance as a gift. He loves them so far for runs, hikes, and hot yoga! I'd say they run snug (but comfortable) for those with bigger quads. The burnt orange color is lovely and they've been an awesome wardrobe addition for him for any activity!

Pockets + Compression & Support

I have been looking for a short that can be comfortably worn for long periods while still providing proper support. I wore these shorts for the Houston Marathon and Arches 50 mile this year and could not have been happier with how they performed. The fit is very comfotable, providing compression and support while being easy to wear all day and there are an endless amount of pockets. What more could you want?

Plenty of pockets!

This 2-in-1 short is great. Fits perfectly and is comfortable. There are multiple pockets around the waist so should work fine in races.

So happy with the boxer lined w phone pocket

I'm so happy Janji finally came out with shorts that have a boxer brief liner that has a phone pocket on the leg for 0 fuss and 0 bounce! The other pockets are also super helpful for carrying everything else. These eliminate the need for a vest very often!

Pockets

Awesome short all around! However its not perfect. The short has plenty of pockets that can store lots of goodies. However when you are on the go...things starts to bounce a lot and the short starts to move around. The string that hold the short does not really doings its job. I suggest have a bungee stop or longer string.

Great Concept, So-so execution

I love my other Janji gear and was looking for shorts for longer runs when I needed to carry more (gels, phone in case of emergency, etc.) and this seemed to fit the bill. Overall when not "loaded" the shorts were great. The problem came when I started putting things in the pockets for a long training run. I was carrying one gel in the hip pockets and my phone in the spandex / leg pocket and I had to hold the shorts up for the last 10+ miles of my run. After mile 1 I noticed they were falling down so stopped to tie the the loop tighter; another mile, same problem - I tied them even tighter to no avail. In other words, these were by no means loaded down given the capacity of the pockets with only one gel and my phone, but would not stay up.

I'm squarely in the middle of the M size, which is what I ordered.

I wanted to love these and thought they would save me from having to wear an extra belt or vest, but alas will have to save these for other activities.

I totally understand that it is a difficult balance to have a bunch of storage and then be able to make comfortable shorts that do not fall down when utilizing that storage, but these fell short on execution.
