Heads up — AFO-Vent may feel stiffer than you're used to

Breathable all-star tank

For running tanks my main concerns are usually: breathability, stitching that causes chafing, how it handles sweat, is it easy to take off when sweaty. This tank performs great under all of those actually. The material is much stretchier than you'd think so for any body type it will feel comfortable. During and after long runs in this I found no chafing at all.

After my run it seemed to handle sweat really well in a way that didn't seem cumbersome and dried out on it's own overnight even. The stretchiness really helped getting it off after a run too, which can be hard if you're sweaty enough.

All in all would absolutely recommend these tanks for sure.

Great, lightweight top

Great for hot weather running- have never had a lighter running top than this. Perhaps it is the humidity in my area but does have a tendency to stick to me as I sweat. Thankfully the top is so light it hardly bothers me!

Light, breathes well

Love the feel of the material. Top half is a bit more fitted and bottom has a nice flows feel. Ideal for running!

Best Athletic Shorts!

At first I got these shorts as a runner, but then I started wearing the lm to hot yoga and AMAZING. They don’t stick and dry extremely quickly. I have 6 pairs and love each one.

Solid Tank for the Heat

I don't normally run in tanks, but decided to pick this up for the hotter summer runs. Apparently I've been missing out, as this is now my favorite warm-weather running top. It's not overly loose and doesn't bounce around, but still remains breathable and weighs next to nothing.

Might be better than the AFO Singlet

This new fabric for sure has a unique stiff feel to it, but I think it's one the best performing pieces Janji has put out. Sweat does not make this top stick to you as easily as the singlets do; which you can feel while running and cooling down. All while making it easy to doff for shower time. The snugger fit is actually more accommodating for my figure and is not tight at all. I also feel like this new fabric gives it a little bit of wind resistance, but maybe that's just me. Overall I'm looking forward to seeing how Janji moves forward with AFO-Vent, and will be slowly replacing my old AFO Singlets with these.

Nice at the start, wet at the finish

I like the shirt and the idea of the shirt. Great cut, lightweight, very comfortable to wear around the house before the run, no chafing, but holds sweat like crazy. Can’t say I’d recommend it in Florida, where I live,(but then I can’t wholeheartedly recommend Florida!). It is summer, though, so I’ll be interested to see how the shirt performs in the less hot months of fall. All in all I like it, but would be interested to see what Janji’s other tank is like.

A couple design/fit flaws

Unlike Janji legwear, which has been flawless for me, this is another Janji top that is nearly perfect, but has a few serious flaws that render it nearly unusable for me. The fit isn't ideal, as the chest is unusually tight relative to the rest of the shirt. The regular AFO singlet fits me just fine, but in the same size, this AFO-Vent tank has a constrictive chest. Also, it has a much less breathable cut than the AFO singlet. The chest and armpit cutouts are much smaller, and the fabric now covers more of your back and shoulder blades. It definitely does not have the "barely there" feel of the AFO singlet. However, neither of these are deal-breakers for short, moderate temperature runs. Also, Once I start seriously sweating though, problems occur. The major issue is that the front side of the tank starts to ride up, to the point where the tank is rubbing the base of my neck. I attribute this to the fact that when it gets sweaty, the front dries faster than the back, and with the excess back fabric now holding water weight, the back of the tank becomes heavier and pulls the shirt backwards. A sportier cut in the back (like on the AFO singlet) could fix this. Secondly, I've got an issue with the stretchy material. When it gets sweaty, I'm not able to easily lift it off my skin and get some air circulating under it. Instead, when I pull on the edge of the shirt to do so, the shirt just stretches and hardly peels away from my skin. Rather, the damp portions kind of just stick to you. While the AFO singlet material isn't especially breathable, it's thin, hardly absorbs sweat, and doesn't stretch much, so this problem never occurs. Ultimately, I'm really bummed by this tank top. I was hoping it could would improve on the AFO singlet by using a slight more forgiving and breathable material. Unfortunately, it appears that this new material combined with it's tank top cut (as opposed to a singlet cut) just isn't going to do it for me. Definitely wasn't worth the cost.
