The Earth color is awesome. These pants are lightweight and easy to move in. I am 5'9" ~29" waist and 135ish pounds. Small works great for me.
Fit:
I am 5' 10", around 150 lbs, 30" natural waist and 32" at typical pants waistline. I am typically a small in other brands, but the size chart for Janji pegged me at a medium which seems right (small would likely be a little snug, while the medium has some room). The drawstring is elasticized, so if you have to pull it tight you'll still have some give in the waist. The fit through the leg is nicely tapered. I have around 21-22" thigh and the upper leg of the pant is just right - a little room when standing and no constriction when raising the knee as if doing a big step-up. The lower leg is fitted nicely so there is no loose fabric flapping about. The inseam has the cuff falling right at the bottom of my ankle. It's a very good cut for a pant for active pursuits, and still looks good in everyday use as long as you want to show that athletic aesthetic.
The pockets on this pant are a little smaller than normal, but still large enough for a smartphone. The zippers are quality YKK brand, although they can be a little fiddly to operate since the fabric is so thin and there is some risk of the fabric getting caught in the zipper pull. The zipper pull for the extra pocket on the right side will get impeded by the seam line on the rear panel so may take two hands to operate.
The elastic on the inside at the ankle cuff is not fully sewn on the top edge so it may catch on your heel/toe while putting on the pants so it may take an extra second to suit up but is not a problem afterwards.
Overall highly recommended, I intend to buy another pair!
I started with one. Loved it, so, I decided to buy all colors. More Colors Please.
M's Transit Tech Pant
The pant is especially comfortable and light. I use it more as a warm up mostly after working out at the gym. The XL size is long for my inseam but was necessary for my bucket seat. at least the measurement was provided on the site. It bunches at the bottom gather cuff. I'm a 38"waist with a 29-30" inseam but needed the height of the seat.
I’m really impressed that I can use this for just about everything running and nonrunning. It fits very well and is comfortable for all-day wear.
I have tried MANY running pants and these are amazing. Super comfy for running as well as chilling. Love the stretch. The only thing I didn’t like is the back pocket. I forgot my running belt one day so I stashed my phone there, but it started to creep around in the weirdest places so I ended up just holding it. That being said, I never have liked putting a phone in a rear or any pocket on my pants or shorts. Highly recommended!
Great pants. I've had them since last fall and they've been solid for fall and even winter running, unless it's too windy then I'll go with tights. The slight stretch and wind resistance make for a good combo on everyday training. They're super comfy too. I wear them for work more often than I want to admit! Just a couple potential downsides. There's always a tradeoff with lightweight gear, and I'd never take these for off-trail rambling because they'd get shredded in the brush immediately. And the "earth" color I have shows stains pretty easily, so don't be an idiot like me with the spaghetti sauce.
I love these pants so much that I had to buy a second pair. Perfect for running, hiking, cycling and even lounging. They are super breathable and dry very quickly. The zippered pockets are awesome for keeping all your goodies secure, my only complaint with the pants are the colors. "Midnight" is more of a dark grey rather than black as shown, but that's not too important. Buy these!
Wore these for a run/ climb session, 7miles of running to the gym and 1.5hrs of climbing. Very comfortable for both activities, breathable for the run, and stretchy for the climb. I am 5’ 7” and had to downsize to the Small, I wear a medium in the Mercury Track pant and running shorts.
