Heads up — AFO-Vent may feel stiffer than you're used to

This fabric is more structured so that it won't ride up or pill from lots of use. Expect it to soften as you sweat throughout the run.

The first rule to making something sustainable? Build it to last. This short is built to endure the rigors of serious wear. We removed zippers, because they will inevitably fail. We made it out of our AFO-Vent fabric — a durable nylon that is lightweight yet tough, abrasion resistant, odor resistant and will retain its shape. We changed the drawcord to an infinity loop that will not get tugged out in the wash and we reinforced the pocket openings with 14 bar tacks.

Our AFO-Vent fabric is also bluesign® certified meaning it is free from harmful chemicals and is fabricated in a way that meets a high environmental standard.

Rep review

These are my most favorite janji shorts.
The way that the legs have an open frame on the side and all of the pockets are perfect for me because I carry a lot of small things when I work out a run or hike or bike. I use them for all activities!
They are breathable too, when it’s hot out I don’t feel constricted or claustrophobic in my shorts.
The color options are wonderful and again these are just so fitting and flattering to most all body types. Love love love

Fave Shorts

these are the best shorts ever!! Only shorts that will carry my phone + gels, car key, chapsticks and more. Not too short or long and the liner is comfortable without riding up. I recommend to all of my friends.

Pockets for dayssss

The amount of things I could fit comfortably in these pockets is insane: chapstick, sunblock, car key, AirPods, jolly ranchers, honey packets, peanut butter packets. It’s like a fancy pack but better because of the individualized pockets! The waistband does fit a little snug but I wear these shorts high and everything stayed in place.

The best!

Perfect for long runs!! Ran a 100k in these in 100 degree temps and they were amazing. I loved having easy access to snacks and fuel.

oh, em, gee, the POCKETS!

The pockets on these are so awesome... pockets connected by tunnels so my phone is secure, enough pockets that I can go lift and have my card wallet in one, phone in another, key in another and get it all done efficiently. Putting fuel and etc in the pockets along with my phone and keys doesn't way the shorts down--they stay in place! The stretchy vented material also sheds water and etc super easily which is amazing. WELL DONE! I did go up a size (being between sizes) and I'm really glad I did because I wouldn't say they run big at all... but in doing this, I have full range of motion of my legs even on steep climbs, scrambly things etc. They might be even more perfect with another 1/2" of length... or with the back side slightly longer than the first... but 5 stars regardless!

My favorite running shorts

I love these shorts and can't wait to get them in more colors. The first time I ran in them I kept finding more and more pockets that I didn't initially realize where there. My favorite is the bigger back pocket which fits my phone perfectly and it doesn't bounce or move around at all while I run. Currently training for a Fall marathon and these have been by far the most comfortable shorts for my long runs and I plan to wear them on race day. Highly recommend! Size small is my normal size, which is what I got these in, and they fit me perfectly.

Great but runs small.

I buy mostly cheap old navy running shorts but wanted to finally get a nice pair. I have yet to run in them but they are very high quality fabric. My only review is that they run more fitted than expected. I'm 5'4" and 125 athletic build and bought my regular small and at first I thought they were too tight. I think I'm just not used to wearing things that fitted but if someone is in between definitely size up. Can't wait to wear them!

Great shorts for summer

These shorts are perfect for running in hot, humid summer weather, they feel extremely durable but extremely light at the same time. I look forward to more colors or perhaps even patterns for these shorts

I never write reviews but these shorts are SO GOOD. I bought one pair and loved them so much I went back for a second. Hoping for more color options in the future so I can add to my stash :) Lightweight, love the pockets, and they hug my waist just right. I got size smalls but noticed in my first pair the built-in underwear feels a bit tight?? Small sizing issue but otherwise these are a must-have

Fave new pair

I love these running shorts. I bought them for the material, length, and pockets. The material is wicking and dries fast. The waistband is super comfortable. The fit is great for more athletic builds with wider legs and bottom. These are my new go to running shorts. I am usually between a small and medium (size 27 pants, usually 6 in Lulu shorts) and the medium fit better. I plan to wear these backpacking in addition to running
