Heads up — some color bleed may occur
Color bleed, especially with darker colored nylon/spandex blends, is common and could stain light colored garments if washed together.

sustainability

Groundwork Knit is made using a premium grade nylon that has a significantly tighter woven filament than standard synthetics. Tighter filaments mean less microfiber shedding in the wash-cycle, plus greater durability of the garment (longer lifespan, more wearing).

Groundwork Knit fabric is also bluesign® certified meaning it is free from harmful chemicals and is fabricated in a way that meets a high environmental standard.

Amazinggggg!

I never write reviews but I got these shorts randomly because I wanted to try the biker short style for distance running (I'm currently marathon training). They were so perfect! Never rode up, kept me cool on a hot midwest morning and they just felt so soft and smooth...never had to worry about chafing (hallelujah). I even kept my phone in the pocket but was nervous it would just get really damp from sweating...it didn't! It stayed pretty dry. I have them in blue and black and will most likely be ordering more. They're the best! Also TTS!

Perfect

These shorts are the only thing I will ever wear in a race. They are absolute perfection. Perfect length, perfect fit, perfect pockets. I will keep buying them.

So great! Love the pockets.

These shorts are amazing. I can put my phone, keys, etc in the pockets and totally forget they are there when I run.

Perfect for Long Runs

I have trouble finding shorts that don’t cause my thighs to chafe, so trying these shorts for long runs was a happy surprise! No chafing, no rolling (small grips at bottom of shorts work!), and honestly I don’t really notice them while running (big plus!). I haven’t carried anything substantial in the pockets yet, but they could easily hold gels, keys, and anything else you might need for a run. A few weeks after I bought my first pair I ordered another!

Unicorn shorts

I found my unicorn shorts! Perfect rise (not too low, not too high). Perfect length (6-7” is my sweet spot). Perfect compression and thickness of the fabric (they are thin and compressive without being sheer or bulky). Great pockets. Love the silicon on the legs - it doesn’t dig in and holds the shorts in place. I’m 5’10, 150. I got my usual size small and they are great! I think the sizing is similar to other brands - true to size.

I want to buy more pairs! I’ll probably stick with black!

Janji did it again

A few weeks before my first 50 miler, I was getting worried about not having shorts that would last the distance without riding up, chafing, etc. Then Janji announced a release of these tights. Bingo! I have run 6, 10 and 26 mile runs with those on. They’re perfect. No riding up due to the silicone grips. They stay firmly put in place. Not too tight, either. Tons of storage. I love the two long pockets on the sides. Just like other Janji tights, I call these my second skin. I will definitely run the 50 miler with those on!

My everything shorts

When I tried these on I was a little worried they would be too big(I sized up because I’m 2 months postpartum). But the adjustable waist band made them perfect. Wore them for a 2 mile run and they didn’t move at all. The material is so light and has great stretch it almost feels like I’m not wearing anything. The main reason I bought these over other brands was the pockets. They actually go all the way to the bottom of the short. I love pieces that I can wear for multiple purposes. Working out, running errands, and even lounging around the house they’re that comfy. I am so happy with my purchase and plan on ordering a second pair soon.

Awesome running shorts!

These shorts are the most comfortable running wear I have ever worn. I can run for hours and the waist band doesn’t roll and the shorts don’t ride up at all. I store my phone and keys in the pockets and can’t even tell they are there.

My favorite biker running shorts

I have a hard time finding runner biker shorts that fit comfortably, don't ride up the thigh or belly, are flattering, and have ample pockets. I tried a pair of Groundwork Tights this fall but they weren't warm enough for our PNW winters, but I really liked the material so when I saw these I knew I had to try them. I'm 5'7", 183lbs, and have thick thighs and a thick midsection, pretty solid size 12 in most pants, I bought a Large. Not only do these shorts stay in the same place for my entire 5+ mile runs (6" length is PERFECT), they don't stretch out or make me look like a bursting sausage. I really like the silicone grippers on the hem, they don't chafe or feel too tight. On the budge side these are a steal and as an employee in the outdoor industry I love the company's promise. My only request would be to bring the waistband up just a smidge more for gals like me carrying extra in the midsection. Buying a second pair!

10/10

Got these in the mail this week and I decided to try them out on my long run yesterday. The silicone grippers on the bottom are awesome - the spandex didn't ride up once over 13 miles!! And I had my phone in the side pocket the whole time and they didn't pull the spandex down at all either. I can definitely see myself wearing these to climb and bike in too. If you're thinking about getting these, I highly recommend it!
