Bought it and the rain stopped! Looking forward to trying soon!
I've worn it on multiple runs so far between 15-40°F in the Midwest as an excellent layer to protect against wind, rain and snow. The hood works amazingly and keeps cold air out even with a baseball cap underneath. The sleeve cuffs also keep that cold air out! The pockets and zippers are nice too, although I've not used the chest pocket yet as my phone doesn't fit -- maybe Janji should put dimensions of that pocket on their website.
I enjoy putting this jacket on too because it just looks great and the Canyon color gives me life. I'm 5'0", 110lbs with athletic build. I purchased a S so I wouldn't have to worry about layering underneath and shoulder mobility (can't wait to rock climb in this!). I was worried the S would swamp me - it is a little oversized on me but it impressively still works. I'm happy with the extra length of the jacket and sleeves to further protect me against the elements. Time will tell how long this jacket lasts but construction looks great. I hope to wear this jacket all year for a long time.
I wore this on my first cold run and it kept me very warm. The color is beautiful and is great for visibility. I am 5’2” and ordered a medium. The torso gives me room for layering, but the sleeves are a tad long. I plan to keep and enjoy for many cold/rainy runs. :)
I use this jacket for wet runs in the Pacific Northwest. So far, it has held up wonderfully. I am 5'6" and 120 lb. and ordered the small. I have a long torso and was concerned that it would not be long enough, but it hits at just the right spot at my upper hip. Air flows well through the jacket without making you cold. A great purchase!
Very comfy, fits great, but most importantly it does the job very very well!!!
This latest Janji release has been my favorite, and I've loved every item that I've gotten from it. But by far my favorite has been this jacket. When they say it's ventilated, they mean it! I've worn it in snow and rain, in sub-20 degree weather, and warmer weather too, it's simply been awesome anywhere. It's very easily packable whilst on a run, and the integrated stretchy and soft strap for carrying it is great. I also love that you can stow the hood away with the integrated loop (the zippered ones are too bulky, so this is better). And that Canyon color, whoa, it's beautiful! It looks more orange on the website, but in person it's actually a very pretty burnt gold (is that even a color?), and not at all obnoxious or loud. The material is soft and stretchy, and not at all noisy like any other rain gear I've used in the past. Another added bonus is the hood... it stays in place! I could go on and on about how much I love this thing, but it seems everyone else already has :)
I love this jacket! I needed a new rain jacket. I figured I would mostly be using it for training (as opposed to racing), so I wanted something functional under any rainy circumstance, whether it was 35 degrees F or 60 degrees F. This definitely fits the bill! It's breathable and protective. Lightweight, but still provides plenty of protection. Great for running or hiking in any rainy/misty condition. Best money I have spent in a while!
I've never (until now) had a rain jacket that doesn't make me sweat to the point of being saturated as if it were raining inside the jacket. Today's run - about 33 degrees and off and on rain provided a good test. I started wearing it (over my hydration vest), shed it and put into my hydration vest pocket all while moving, then once the rain got more steady popped it back on and stayed dry and a perfect temperature for the remainder. It seemed a teeny bit wet on the inside around the shoulders, but could've been sweat and I know for sure I was drier and warmer than I would've been without it. Size wise, I'm usually between a small and medium and sized up - glad I did because it provides a little room but still fits well and works fine over my vest which is nice for on and off action. Nice length and sleeves and hood are just perfect. Great design, great jacket! Well done Janji!
Great for wind and rain!
This rain jacket is fantastic -- it keeps me dry on rainy runs, it's breathable enough that I don't get overheated, it's lightweight, and it also looks pretty cool ;). I've also found that it's great as an outer shell for winter biking -- paired with a warm base layer it keeps me perfectly toasty but not too toasty (which has been an issue for me with normal rain jackets in the same context). Highly recommend!
