Alas, no. I wanted so much for this pack to work for me. The various compartments seem great and I had high hopes it would work for fast packing adventures as well as standard day pack use. Unfortunately the straps are not well placed on my chest and there is a hard lump where the shoulder pads end that puts painful pressure in sensitive spots along my ribs. The size and shape does not appear to be well suited to the female form: the XS/S was close to its smallest limit on me and I'm not that small for a woman (5'5" 145lbs). I love a lot of what Janji does so mostly leaving this review in hopes it'll encourage them to fix these problems!

I've dreamed of a run commute but transporting my laptop was always the sticking point. This backpack obviously solves that and then some! The backpack has several areas on the straps that can be adjusted, so I felt like I got my perfect fit. I'm 5'9" and went with a size M, and it works great. There's no bouncing, everything I packed stayed secure, there are so many pockets so it was easy to pack and organize literally everything I needed for the day (laptop, notebook, towel, toiletries, change of clothes and shoes). I couldn't love this backpack more!

Such a versatile pack, I want to take it everywhere, comfortable, but it’s also the perfect running vest. It’s easy to clean, I’ve taken it out for multiple hour runs in summer heat and it does the job perfectly, it has all the space I need but doesn’t flop around if it’s not full. Love the materials, seems super sturdy and high quality

Great commuting backpack! Ran to work with it a few times these past few weeks (~3 mi) and it holds a surprising amount of stuff (clothes, laptop, toiletries, wallet, cellphone, tupperware, and even shoes). I've tried a few backpacks and was never able to find one that felt snug. This one didn't budge! Highly recommend!

So happy this pack got restocked. I’ve been wanting one but it was sold out. Bought it right away and love it! Plan to use it for a variety of things like running and hiking but recently used it for travel and it was perfect.

I commute on foot daily. This pack is solid. Zero bounce. Excellent storage capacity. Holds the necessities. I haven’t used it in rain yet, but this bag is worth the cost.

I donned my new Revy 18L pack for a backyard adventure on Mt. Hood the other day and it was a great addition to my running kit. Since it was a 15 mile day run/hike I did not have it fully loaded by any means. However I was able to very comfortably carry 4 500ml flasks of water, extra clothing, insta camera, snacks, 10 essentials, and my trekking poles. The pack was very adjustable and caused no chaffing. They was very little bouncing. I am very happy with my purchase.

It's not an exaggeration to say I operate my life out of this bag. I have had this bag for over half a year running it through the wringer (~50 mi/week run commuting, 75+ mi/week cycling) and have been amazed at the ease that it holds a sizeable laptop, charger, mouse, clothes, lunch, gels, D-lock (when cycling) - capacity is never an issue. The pouches and zipper compartments on the arm straps are amazing for stashing phones, keys, wallet, hydration, nutrition, etc. for easy access mid-stride and help to balance out weight distribution. The packed bag rests amazingly well on my back with the chest straps cinched - I haven't even needed to consider using the waist belt for extra support (unlike Other Brand bags I've used over the years that shall remain nameless). It is rugged enough to endure abuse from your activities and the elements (no visible wear & tear to report yet) and presentable enough to bring into the stuffiest of office settings.

If you need to haul gear and are on the fence about this bag, purchase without hesitation! I doubt you'll regret it. 10/10.

I’ve been looking for a bag I could comfortably commute to work with, and this one checks all the boxes. It has excellent storage capacity—I can easily carry a change of clothes (including shoes), my laptop, and my lunch. It fits well and is very comfortable to wear.

I initially ordered the S/M size, which ended up being too small, but Janji’s excellent customer service quickly helped me exchange it for a larger size. Overall, a great experience and a great bag.

I returned the S/M but very much hope to see these restocked with my XS/S, preferably in new color ways (love the bright blue but without black!). I would use as a day pack but purchased especially for multi-pitch climbing as a pack that sits above my harness and doesn’t interfere with twists and reaches in any direction. The side pockets are too small for most shoes; low profile women’s 6.5 shoes barely fit inside the stretch pocket and only slide about halfway down. The zippers seem solid for a light rain; big advantage over a climbing brand’s ultra running pack with a fold over top.

I've been testing this pack on 4-5 mile runs from work, with a 15" laptop and change of clothes in the pack. It works well, with minor annoyances.

The pros: It doesn't bounce, laptop is secure, it's far more comfortable for commuting than other packs I've tried. It also holds a decent amount of clothing and the bungee pockets on the back and sides can hold a nalgene bottle, or rolled up jacket easily.
The cons: It is quite a stiff pack and it sits high up on the chest, like a hydration pack, but now with more bulk. I find the hydration bottles are sitting too high up on the chest to easily drink from. This may just be an alignment/setup and I need to play around with the straps to drop the bottle area lower. I also find the waist strap sits just below the ribs, so isn't always the most comfortable, but it also works well to add the stability to the pack.

I bought this pa k for a Christmas gift for my daughter. She requested it because she loves them. She runs ultra marathons in the mountains of the west. They probably contribute to her great success because of the storage space and ability to carry hydration packs without being heavy and cumbersome.

The fit and finish of this pack is perfect for running, hiking, or going to the office. It has plenty of storage options and works great with a hydration system. I recently used this pack for a trail 50k and it worked great. The extra water storage was clutch since the aid stations ran out halfway through the race! The only reason I didn’t give a perfect five star rating was the bungee cord system pulled off one of the loops during my race. I don’t know if it was a design issue or my rough handling during my race? I used the side pockets for trekking poles and had to take them off and store them several times throughout the race. Even with the torn loop I was able to keep my gear secure without any problems.

I never write reviews and I’ve always hated running, but this backpack actually got me to start run-commuting to work. Now I’m hooked for life.

My only minor complaint is that a little bit of the stitching in one of the inner pockets is unraveling after a few uses, but this backpack has reinforced stitching so I'm not too worried.

Amazing run commute bag

Use it daily for run commuting. 3-4 miles each way. Fit feels nice but got neck pain my first week running in it so unknown what the cause was. Would love to try different sizes but not in any stores.

Really like space that this bag packs in. I use it as a commuter pack for running 7 miles into the office & back. Straps that keep it snug do the job, when it isn't loaded down with a laptop and too much heavy stuff, the pack holds still really nicely. Main complaint is that the straps are quite wide and seem to be built for someone with a broad chest and shoulders. I have the XS/S and am a 5'0"/110lbs woman, and the straps both rub against my collarbones on the medial side and then the straps hover above my shoulders on the lateral side. Seems like they are for someone with much broader shoulders than me. Oh well! Might not have bought it if I tried it on, but have been adjusting to it over the course of nearly 10 run commutes with the pack.

I am running Maob 240 in a few days and this is the pack that I chose to get me to the finish line. I love it. It fits great and molds to my body well which helps minimize bouncing.
Two things I have noticed. The straps are a bit hard and rubs on my collarbone after some time. I do wish there were more stash pockets on the sides of the straps for food and nutrition so I didn’t have to take the pack off as much.
Overall, a really great pack. I highly recommend it!

First, I will start out by saying I love this pack and it's a total game changer for me now that I can run for my commute to the office, and to get groceries!
I do have some constructive feedback, and I am excited to see how this pack evolves (I hope it does!)
The bungee cords are super thin, although it's really cool that you can adjust where they clip on the pack. I moved the top ones on each side so they cross the body of the pack, to try and cinch in unused space so things are more stable when the main compartment isn't full. This was moderately successful, but I would suggest adding or adapting the bungees so they are better at helping to secure/stabilize the contents of the pack. Stronger/thicker cross-pack bungees would also allow someone to carry things (like a wet or dirty jacket) that they don't want inside the pack. The cords also kind of flap around if they're cinched in, so it would be awesome if there was a better way to secure them so they don't do that.
Other than that, everything is amazing with this pack. So many pockets and clips and options!
The only other thing I'm keeping an eye on is the durability of the stretch mesh pockets on the shoulder straps. I put all kinds of stuff in those pockets - my phone, keys, snacks, inhaler, cool rocks, etc. That kind of material has been the first to fall apart on other packs I've used, so I'm hoping those pockets stay intact for a good long time!
One last note - I was a little confused about sizing so I ordered the smallest size, but the shoulder straps might be a little short, however i have to fully tighten all the other straps and adjustments so I am not sure if a larger size pack would have been better.

Just the right size/weight for trekking long distances. Love the huge pockets on straps. Removed rfe water bottles and used one to hold my iPhone and the other to hold the base of the umbrella which o used hands free.

I’m a regular run commuter putting 30+ miles a week in with a bag. I’ve been waiting for Janji to release a bag that I can use for my commute and I was not disappointed in the delivery. I the bag is super comfortable to wear and run with a bit of weight. It’s a serious step up from other bags I’ve used for my runs.
