M's Trail Tight

These are great. Good material and weight. They are the first pair I reach for when it gets chilly.

The only downside I found for these tights is the elastic drawstring. A non-elastic drawstring would have made the tights sit more secure on my waist when the pockets are loaded up. I noted some slippage a mile in on a long run where I had my phone, a 0.5L water bladder, and an energy gel. The elastic band is a little annoying to get a secure fit, but I was able to get one eventually. Other than that these tights are great! I love all the pockets, especially the pass through pocket on the backside to secure a windbreaker or rain jacket if I get too warm on a run. They aren’t the warmest tights, but I didn’t expect them to be based on other reviews. So far I’ve worn them on runs anywhere from 25-45 degrees Fahrenheit. They won’t be my go to for temps under 30 degrees if there is a strong/chilly wind, but my legs felt fine once I got moving on the chillier runs. The sizing seemed pretty close to the sizing of my winter under armour tights, hope that helps!

Perfect

They were tight enough to provide support, but not to much that it was a struggle to get on or off. The pockets were wonderful for distances up to 10 miles without a pack. Having a full 550 ml flask on each side was a bit too much for the waistband. They slid down and had to be pulled up every 1/2 miles without or so. They work perfectly well with just one flask, phone, gels, lube and car keys.

Great tights and have pockets for quite literally anything you’ll need to carry with you. Can’t recommend enough!!

Wore these tights in a 100K Texas Hill Country trail race that started at 20 degrees F, warmed to 50 F during the day, and then back down into the upper teens overnight. The temps included 25 MHP winds but full sunshine and clear skies. These tights were a perfect choice for the race. On top of protecting against brush and debris, they never ran hot or cold. My legs were perfect the entire length of the race (18 hours for me) and I appreciated the extra compression. I never felt the need to change clothes at my bag-drops and the side stuff pockets worked great for hats, gloves and extra gels. Overall, a great trail tight!

Initial fit was tight but became comfortable after a few uses. Compression is spot on. Liking it so far. I followed washing instruction to the T however noticed that some stitching started to come undone. I’ve used it 8x so far. Hoping this one would last and not wear out too quickly.

My father-in-law asked for “running tights, size medium, maybe not black” for Christmas. Once I Googled around to get a sense of what nice running tights cost (not a runner myself) I spent a few minutes checking “best tights” list and these came up. The reviews were awesome, the return policy is generous, they come in colors, so I didn’t overthink it. My father-in-law is really pleased with them! He reports the pockets are great and has worn them multiple times a week. If you’ve got a runner with ragged running tights too, I don’t think you can go wrong with these as a gift!
