185lbs | muscular but not single, no-kids muscular | size L fits appropriately tight but have to be careful putting them on not to snag seams
my heart eyes:
1) love all the pockets. I can carry soft flasks in the side pockets AND plenty of space left for gels/phone/keys/hat/headlamp/etc.
2) love the loop pocket in the back where I can stow my shirt. i run to the office every day but i refuse to run with a shirt on so this pocket is life-changing for me. i wish ALL my running shorts had this feature
3) keep my wedding ring in the internal pocket up front during summer runs when my digits swell.
4) i'm not a pure runner (aka i lift heavy and my legs are not tiny); these still fit great & keep my thighs from chaffing
5) fit is pretty sweet once they're on. the legs don't ride up, the drawstring works well, pockets keep contents secure (virtually zero bounce).
my ridiculously nit-picky gripes:
1) the internal seam under the gooch does bother me on my long runs. 20mi run = almost broken skin from rubbing on the stitching down there, not annoying whilst running but very un-fun afterwards... the fit around the crotch isn't ideal for my geo. it's a little saggy, could take up a few cm's and have better compression/less rubbing on the jewels
2) material doesn't handle B.O. well at all. granted, i'm a pretty sweaty guy + NEVER run with underwear ...but out of all my running shorts, these smell foulest after the sesh is done by a country mile. like going to a coffee shop after my runs is a no-go in these because the stank will absolutely offend myself and everyone within ten feet of me
overall, these are A++ tights. In general I think I prefer a more compressive short & softer textile like the rabbit half tights, but that's just personal preference. these are probably the best half tights on the market especially for those that don't like super tight compression. if you can get them on sale, buy 2. no brainer!
