W's 3" Pinnacle RD Short
Love these shorts. They hold my phone, my water, gels and my keys. So comfy and no bounce! The pockets are easy to get items into and out if. Please restock and make more colors
I tried 3 different brands of shorts that hold a decent amount of gear (Raide, Nnormal and Janji) and the Janji RD came out on top by far. There’s the right amount of snugness at the waist without the shorts being too hard to get on, and without feeling like my stomach is being compressed. The pockets all the way around the waist are perfect for my phone, a soft flask and gels. I’ve used the pole holder loops to hold a jacket but not for poles yet. The other piece that’s great is that I can wear the shorts with a backpack and there’s no weird rubbing on my back (just wore them for a summer ski-mo trip at Mt. Rainier and they were great - allowed me to stow my phone in the front belt pocket because my backpack has no phone pocket). I’m definitely buying another couple pair when they’re back in stock!
I haven’t loaded these shorts up…just my poles and while I love the looser fit and lighter material I just wish they were a little bit longer. My bum is just hanging out especially if you tighten them at all. Disappointing especially when my husband loves his pair
I am in love with these shorts! They hold everything (including soft water bottle) that I need for a summer run with my dog, without needing to carry a sweaty vest. Please restock in more colors!!
Fab storage and so airy. I fit a 16oz flask, phone, keys, bag of emergency wipes (iykyk), sunglasses, Pbj, sweat rag AND poles, with room to spare. Easy access to the pockets, can get stuff/put stuff back without stopping. No bouncing, but I wish there was a way to adjust the waist. I got my same size as the pace short, and probably could have/should have sized down.
Love the RD Short - I prefer a belt to a vest on hot days and these shorts are perfect - holding my gels and empty handheld water bottles as I use them. I know I'll use them with my vest for extra storage while doing ultras. Fantastic.
I’ve taken these for 2 runs now, one 90 min run and one 3H+. They work great on the shorter run where you don’t need to carry a lot of fluids. Loading them up with flasks is the challenging part.
They absolutely fit 2 18oz soft flasks, which is awesome. And thank for you the little snap to keep them in there. However, the bounce when running felt like they were going to pull my shorts off. Sadly, they’re more comfortable with a partially empty 18oz in the back and your other bottle in your hand.
The fabric holds onto sweat too, so something to think about if you live in a high humidity location.
LOVE! So much space!
Best shorts ever!
Loved the fit but unfortunately I bought them mainly for the waistband pockets, to hold gels and water. There is no way I could run with anything in those pockets. Zero support, does not stay in place. Bounces everywhere. Bummed out.
I wanted to love them. I bought a small and at first they worked out great, but if I cinch the bungies at all or try and put my poles in them, my cheeks are OUT. I wish they were a bit longer. I ended up buying a medium as well to see if that made a difference, but they just ended up being too loose and riding up even more. :/ they’ll be nice for hiking, but not for running. I would say thick thighs/bigger booties beware.
I don’t understand how they make sure the pockets don’t bounce but seriously they is no movement! I want to wear these shorts for every workout
I now have two pairs of these shorts (blue and black) and I love them! They can carry a full soft flask (17 oz), snacks, etc and they stay up. I can't wait to wear these in half and full marathon races as I think it will be a nice alternative to a vest for warmer weather races. I highly recommend these comfortable and functional shorts.
Better than expected 👏🏼
I normally don’t like high waisted shorts. These were so comfortable I didn’t notice. I would be curious if the size down would have fit a teeny bit better, but the medium was good.
Wore these shorts for my marathon and had a few gels stored in the mesh pocket. One of my SIS beta fuel gels broke at about mile 12. It ran down my shorts and stuck to my legs, I chaffed to say the least.
Not sure I would wear these short on a long run again due to the risk.
Feedback for Janji would be to use a different material besides mesh to prevent this from happening.
Wow these shorts were worth every penny. The storage band can carry so much and I love that there are the adjustable straps to tighten/loosen. The material is so light and airy and very comfortable for long distances. I’ll be wearing them for my ultra on June 6th. More colors please!
I so so badly wanted to love these shorts but they drive me absolutely nuts. They are fine if I just need my phone, car keys and/or some gels, but bottles bounce like crazy in both the front and the back. There is no tightening mechanism either, so even though they feel tight when I start my run, the shorts loosen as I sweat and start to fall. My partner is having the exact same problem with the men's version. Super bummer because I love the idea! Will stick with the multi shorts and a separate belt/vest for now.
Gave only three stars because I wish there was a way to tighten the waistband. I love the color and the pockets. I have a medium and I am 5’7’’ 146, I normally need a medium in shorts and these would fit, but the waistband is not tight enough for me and sags when full of gels, water bottle etc… With these shorts being so expensive this is a huge letdown for me. Hope this helps someone else when considering what size to buy.
Really comfortable. Love the pockets and am hopeful that the attachments will work to carry poles. Flattering as longer compression shorts don’t work for my body shape.
Great garment fit, feel, color. I liked the pockets and the straps for poles. I was not able to run it since it’s a 3 inch inseam I was worried about chafing between the quads since I have a muscular build and the longer the time I am running the more potential for chafing. I wish there was a 5 inch version. I would have kept it but unfortunately I returned it
