I’m 165lbs and 5’7”. I originally bought a medium in the reflective trail pants, but it was too small. Then I saw these auroras were also going to have the same dark reflective material and design, and quickly traded the trail tights in for these. The reflection was something I wanted for Winter when it’s dark and cold. The trail tights wouldn’t have fully served my purpose because they don’t offer any warmth. When buying these, I decided on a size large, and it fits great. A little loose but I’m comfortable because they are still pretty form-fitted and they have string toggles you can tie in front to secure these around your waist. I got to try these in about 55 degree weather recently, and for my legs, they didn’t get too hot, but I was running warmer and had to remove my long sleeve shirt to stay cool. The zippers for the pockets are in a weird spot and you have to put things into tour leg pocket from the front, rather than you would with normal pockets. They’re just not ergonomic, but that’s a minor inconvenience. If you’re reaching in your pocket for something, you’re probably just going to have to pause for a second.
Te quality of the fabric is premium, too. It’s all one thin layer of fabric with tiny microfibers in the fleece to keep you warm. I used to work in manufacturing (eyewear, but they also sold workout clothes) and these are very high quality stitches and fabrics, much like what we used to work with. Good job, Janji!
I can’t wait for winter to come in entirely so I can experience these when running in 30s-40s degree weather, because they did so well on my test run. Don’t walk, run for these reflective leggings. They’re not blinding in a normal setting and you could walk around in these casually without blinding others during the day. But you will feel safe knowing you will be visible when it’s dark and cold or rainy and overcast and a car drives by. If I’m going to run in warmer weather, I’ll stick to the shorts. If I’m going to run in the cold, I will most likely get another pair of these leggings.
