W's 9" Trail Half Tight

I recently bought the 7" Pace Short at REI in XS and they fit perfectly so I assumed that the Half Tight XS would be a perfect fit too, but it runs big on me. I love the pockets and have already worn them running so I can't return or exchange for an XXS. Consider trying two sizes to find the right fit.

As a pace 7" die hard, I was worried these weren't going to live up to the same hype. I was wrong - these are just as fantastic as the pace shorts. Pockets, grippies that don't move, and a waistband that allows you to move. I am taller and the extra 2" doesn't feel too long, it seems to help with the slight chafing I get at the bottom of the pace shorts on long efforts. 10/10 will buy again in more colors.

For sizing reference, I'm an athletic/muscular 5'9" and ~180lbs and I wear a size large.

Very comfortable, excellent performance and the best pockets. I especially like this fabric as it seems slightly thiner and more breathable. The pockets and waist belt open top is superb. And finally I love the color choice other than black.

So many pockets! Also, love the little grips at the edges of the shorts. I hope to see more Women's 9" Half Tights! Favorite length, wish I also ordered the rattlesnake design, so cool! Hope to also try the long bra! Highly recommend these tights thus far!!

I love these shorts! I have both the trail 9” half tight and the 7” running bike shorts and they are perfect. No riding up- one less place to remember to put on anti-friction balm. I will be purchasing more!

I love these shorts and will buy other colors! The pockets are great and don’t weigh down the shorts when I put stuff in them. The length I bought is perfect to keep from chafing at inner thighs, but not being too long. They stay put perfectly.

They stay put, are comfortable even in the heat and the pockets work well for a phone, keys, collapsable water bottles. They also provide light compression.

9” running tights are a great bit of gear.

I have yet to find tights that I love but these are so close! The pockets are huge and there's a ton of them. These fit really well. I took these on my long run, got lost, and had to slide down a steep hill to get back on the trail and these tights still look perfect!

I was thrilled to have the pockets as extra cargo space. Wierdly anything I put in my left pocket caused burning and chafing. Not sure it there was a seam, an issue with the material, or what the issue was. Lots of antichafe required. The drawstrings were out of both pairs I used and in my bag by the end of the race. Who has time to replace a drawstring during a race? I was fine without them.

Otherwise they served me well, and I liked them. Most people won't have issues. 500k in Tennessee in July causes extreme conditions by any metric.

I've been saving up to treat myself to a pair of these. Gosh I wish I had done it sooner. I felt like I wasn't even wearing pants. I'm a bigger runner (210lbs, 5'8") and carry middle weight as well as loose skin. These did not dig into my tummy but still fit and stayed put everywhere. I had my phone, snacks, car key, and a full soft flask in the side pocket for 10 miles and still zero chafe and very little movement. I'm someone that gets ungodly distracted but uncomfortable running clothing so if I am happy, take it as a helluva win. I usually wear a 14/16 and the XL fit perfectly.

What I love about these 9" half tights: Perfect length to provide coverage where needed yet so breathable. The mesh pockets are a game changer. My phone used to have a mind of its own when placed in a pocket of my other shorts. In a regular pocket my phone would somehow dial out but with the mesh pockets that problem has stopped and I'm loving having so many pockets! My only complaint is that they sold out almost immediately and I'd really like to get another pair.

Everything about these shorts is on point. The compression is perfect, the pockets are more than adequate and the leg grippers keep them in place.

Overall, this is a decent purchase. It’s not great having a seam run straight through the middle of the crotch area as a woman, it provided a bit of discomfort during the run. If I had a black pair, I would be much happier with the purchase, but the only pair in the XL size available was pink, and it shows the sweat stains which can be kind of embarrassing on a longer run.

If I had to pick something to fix, removing the seam down the middle is #1.

I absolutely love these - comfortable, soft, fit perfectly, and they have the side pockets that I need while running.

Love these shorts they are the perfect length and stay in place. Hopefully I can get more soon!

These are the best biker shorts that don’t ride up!

Perfect fit! Took them for a 5mile hot day run and loved the fit and feel of them! Will definitely get new colours!

W's 9" Trail Half Tight

These shorts were comfortable for my trail run and I appreciate all the pockets. Unfortunately after on wear I already saw a slight tear on one of the legs by the gripper dots - possibly because the fabric has a raw edge there with no true hem. I also wish these had a seen in loop on the front or back where I could thread a sweaty towel when I didn’t want to hold it - I love the idea of the band in the back where you can feed a shirt through, but it doesn’t work for a smaller object like a hand towel.
