Why are these sold out all the time
Picked these up for when I don't want to wear my raide research belt or a vest. I also own the terignota sendero shorts which are somewhat similar in design. I weigh 215lbs and im 5'8 and I was a bit worried if I ordered an Large it be too small. I ended up ordering a large because I was worried if I packed this with multiple items it would start to sag. So I wanted it to be a tighter fit. Unfortunately the Terignota shorts do sag when you have to flasks up front and in the back along with keys wallet and the phone. This was not the case as along as I put my cell phone in the side pocket in the tights, aside from that I packed two flasks 4 gels keys and my small wallet. Overall I really enjoyed running in these, although they are a bit pricey but I def will be picking up another pair.
Could use a drawstring at the top of belt area.
Bought these for my husband for his birthday. Also bought the water flask to go with it and he said they are by far the best running shorts he’s ever used! He’s between a 30”-31” waist, for the snug factor I went with a Small. He’s 5’7” 168 and some change and it’s the perfect kind of snug so the shorts don’t drop/sag with all the gizmos and gadgets in them. We have already washed them several times, and leave them out to dry.
Material and overall design is really nice. Quite comfortable. But let’s be honest, the integrated belt is useless for bottles or poles or anything heavier than a few gels. There is way too much bounce and with no structure in the belt I don’t see how you would use the shorts for what it seems like they are designed for.
I’ll use them for shorter trail stuff where I might carry one or two handhelds, but that’s about it. Spent way too much money thinking I would be able to carry bottles or poles, or both.
Fit great and the extra storage is perfect for carrying water, etc. I just ordered a 2nd pair.
Almost need instructions to wear these shorts. Very high waist panel took a while to feel comfortable with. Initial run carrying 550 ml soft flask in rear storage pocket was horrible, terrible bouncing causing shorts to fall down. Tried moving soft flask to front, even worse. No waist draw string to tighten shorts. Finally figured out storing soft flask requires to tightly cinch up the toggle straps,
I’ve been converted from a vest to this beautiful creation. Great for long runs or carrying your entire life. It does it all!
I was nervous about buying these shorts at first considering some of the reviews regarding bouncing and slipping off. I sized down and am so happy with the fit! I did a long run over the weekend with a 500ml soft flask in the back, my phone on the side, and several gels in the front. The shorts didn’t move. It is important to note there are no draw strings so it is helpful to have a snug fit. These shorts look so sharp and I can’t wait for the black ones to go back in stock.
Fit great and love the pocket storage!
Amazing fit. High quality fabric. Comfortable for all day runs
Belt its a little much, shipping also takes forever
Nice shorts with built in running waist. Snap closers on each waist section is nice.
Like some others have noted: the shorts sag with even 1 soft water flask making them unusable for me, and that is in size medium. I could try a small (sold out) but so far I am dissapointed.
Shorts were very comfortable and pocket locations/bungees were perfectly placed. Major issue I had is the waist band would fall if I put a flask in the back panel. I could carry a 500ml flask in the front and had to make minor adjustments. I was able to run my poles, nutrition and one flask in the front and it stayed in place for the most part. I would prefer to run a standalone waist band for now. Short needs a firmer band and suspension system.
These shorts are a mixed bag for me. The shorts themselves are excellent, and I'm glad I bought them. The fit is dialed in, and both the outer short and liner are proportioned really well. Many 2-in-1 shorts end up feeling bulky or overbuilt, but the Pinnacle RD manages to feel light, minimal, and fast. It wears more like a traditional running short than a typical 2-in-1.
Unfortunately, the storage belt doesn't live up to the rest of the design. In theory, it's a great idea. In practice, once I loaded it with four gels and some salt tabs, the shorts began to sag noticeably. The biggest question I have is: why is there no drawstring? For a product packed with technical features, omitting a simple drawstring feels like a major oversight.
As a result, I won't be using the storage belt for long runs, which is disappointing because it's one of the headline features. The good news is that the shorts themselves are comfortable enough that I'll continue wearing them. If Janji adds a drawstring in a future version, these could be outstanding.

Did not like fit sent back
Bought these for my partner since I also bought a pair of the women's version (which have the same problem). He took them out for one long run and probably won't wear them again. The belt part doesn't stay in place even when empty and the shorts started falling down by the end of his run. He purchased the same size he wears in other Janji shorts but there is no way to tighten anything up.
I love these shorts. They run small but move great
Purchased as a gift for a trail running individual. He was thrilled with the gift.
Concept is good but execution is not good. No way to tighten everything down.
