Our new Rainrunner fabric has a C6 DWR finish for high-performing, long-lasting water repellency and faster dry times. C6 DWR is made from short-chain PFC's (perfluorinated chemicals) that, while better than long-chain PFC's, we recognize are not environmentally ideal. We are actively testing and looking for an alternative to C6 DWR finishing that will not compromise on the performance of our Rainrunner fabric as we transition to more PFC-free bio-based water repellent finishes.

 

Our Rainrunner fabric is also bluesign® certified meaning it is free from harmful chemicals and is fabricated in a way that meets a high environmental standard.

Perfect rain jacket!

This is a fantastic jacket, I took it along on a trail run the day after it arrived and it performed perfectly. It packed up small in my running vest and when it started to rain I was able to get it out quickly and it kept me comfortable in a warm rain. The vents are great to allow some airflow into the jacket. I’m between a medium and large and I bought a large hoping it would fit over my hydration pack and I’d be able to zip it up- it worked!! It’s also large enough to fit layers under for colder weather, but it’s not sloppy big and it looks good to wear around casually! I absolutely love it!

Adopted the “buy once, cry once” philosophy when purchasing this jacket. I was looking for a high quality running jacket to wear in the rain, wind, & snow of the upper Midwest, and the holiday sale price at the end of the year was hard to beat! I’ve worn this in all types of weather and it’s great, keeps me dry and helps with the wind but still allows ventilation in the rain so you don’t get clammy and gross underneath. I got the Superglow color and sometimes I just use it in the winter to be more visible when it starts getting dark and it’s awesome!

Perfection!

I live on the Southern Oregon coast, and our winters can be pretty rainy, but we also have mild temps. I have been on the hunt for the perfect rain jacket for running for years. I wanted something light, and packable, but also waterproof. I love the Patagonia Houdini, but it’s far from waterproof. I tried some other brands but the jackets either fit poorly, or were too warm and wouldn’t pack down small enough. This Janji jacket meets all my requirements, fits perfect, doesn’t make me sweat, and has pockets!!! I love it sooooo much, and I’m telling all my running friends!! Thank you Janji!!!!

Kept me warm and dry!

Rain runner is incredibly light yet kept me warm during my winter runs, and dry from drizzles. Haven’t tried it in pouring rains yet but I’m hopeful! I can also see myself wearing it to hikes. I’m 5’9 and usually wear a small in janji top and leggings. But small felt a tad tight around the hip, so I ordered a medium to have more room for layers.

Best rain jacket I've ever owned!

I've owned a few rain jackets from other reputable outdoor clothing companies and this one is far superior! It's so lightweight and breathable, and excellent at it's number one job which is to repel rain!

Almost Perfect

Wore it for about an hour in the typical Seattle rain and stayed surprisingly dry for a light running jacket. I’m super happy with the breathability and performance! Also the customer service when I bought the jacket was incredible!

One pretty minor note, but I purchased the bright yellow and my only complaint is that the reflective decal is low on the body there’s only one on each side. But then again, the bark looks like it would light up so if that’s a concern then consider a different color choice.

Finally a lightweight waterproof running jacket

I’m easy to please, hard to impress. I am impressed with this jacket. I’ll start by saying I have too many jackets. I’ve acquired many for high altitude mountaineering, marathon running and simple day to day activities. I take jackets more seriously than most. This jacket is what I’ve been looking for when it comes to running in the rainy Pacific Northwest. I’m ready for rain, I welcome it. Hell, my skin is waterproof. But I was looking for a lightweight waterproof jacket that I could stash easily in my vest on a long run or race that wasn’t boxy or made all the wild noise most running jackets do when on the go. Not only is it lightweight, it’s ventilated nicely and the seams seem to be holding up nicely. I would highly recommend this piece of gear. It’s pricey, but I don’t see myself purchasing a better running jacket than this one. I am a master of returning gear, and I will be keeping this waterproof gem. Yay, Janji, you did it!
