I was looking for a light-weight layer that would be warm enough to keep the chill away for Spring/Fall days in the Pacific Northwest when the temps are around 45f (and often rainy). It's also light enough to act as a base-layer for colder winter runs. Also loved how soft it felt (more silky/buttery than SmartWool), and bonus point for seems that don't rub.
Soft and nice lines. Keeps me the right temp no matter what it’s doing outside
Fits perfectly. Great by itself in fall conditions or as a baselayer as temps drop. Very comfortable while running or on errands.
This insulating jacket is super light and efficiently insulated. It really does cut chilly temps and light breezes without making me feel overheated. I don't run but do take brisk walks/hikes frequently. I also wear it when I'm running around on campus before classes start, sometimes before dawn, in order to get work-errands done. It's versatile and the tall zip-up neck gives it an elegant/timeless look. I wear it like a techy cardigan sweater. Got a size larger so I could substantially layer under, if needed. Sleeves are plenty long and I like the elastic inside the wrists that keep wind out. I also appreciate the two adjustable tightening/loosening features at the hem. The larger size is flattering with or without layers underneath, which surprised me. Got the taupe-reflecting color first. Really liked that so got it in black, too. After a couple of months there's no fabric wear or pilling.
I love this shirt! It’s comfortable, not scratchy, and adjusts to my fluctuating body temperatures. The sleeves are on the long side, which is awesome because my arms are longer than average. I’ve worn it repeatedly and it still smells fresh. I could wear a small but got the medium because I wanted a more roomy fit.

Love this. Fits well
Warm lightweight, perfect for outdoors AND inside hospitals where it’s always cold!
This top is incredible (and I’ a picky customer!): so thin yet keeps you warm when you need warmth and cool when you need cool. You actually do not feel like you are sweating at all (though you are and it’s visible under arms and in the back when wearing merino wool base layers like this!). I did not shrink after the first 1st wash, it does not need to be laid flat to dry (won’t lose its shape, unlike other merino base layers from big competitors…), and it really does not require to be washed until you had several runs in them. I find the fit perfect (fitted but with modesty) it is super high quality and does not attract attention (I try to not wear bold/flashy colors when running in order to avoid unecessary attention). I used it on short speed work/ threshold sessions as well as on long easy runs on days ranging from 40F (with the quarter zip Janji merino LS mid layer over it, I like to feel warm on my runs) up to 60F and each time it felt great. This will definitely be my base layer for my next (and 1st) 10-miler in November! I bought it in 3 different colors (black, blue and foam). I wish it was also available in a light brown/beige shade or in that beautiful red spice shade the summer LS bae layer Janji also has in its range : ). Also, an opening on the sleeves to be able to see your watch when you use the hands loops would be a nice addition
This top is lovely-- soft, a little warm but breathable, and so well designed. I did want to make a note about the sleeve length since I didn't see it in other reviews. I am 5'10", with long arms (my wingspan is about 6'1"), and unfortunately the thumb holes don't quite work for me. I can put my thumbs through them with my arms at my sides, but if I try to run with my thumbs in the holes it pulls uncomfortably and restricts my movement. I wear a medium in Janji sports bras, and got a medium in this shirt, and it fits beautifully except for the thumb holes. Obviously my arm length is pretty unusual for a woman, and I wouldn't expect it to be catered to in a standard shirt, I just wanted to make a note for other tall people. If your arms are as long as mine or longer and you want to use the thumb loops, try the men's version! And Janji, consider adding "long" and "short" versions for long sleeved shirts and leggings in the non-limited edition (always in stock) colors!
