W's Zephyrunner Wind Shell

I bought my first one in Tidal at my local running store and fell in love. I took it for eight days of intensive whitewater guide training, where I was in and out of freezing river water, running, lifting, swimming, and guiding down Class III and IV rapids while wearing this over a wetsuit.

While this is an unconventional way to use the piece, it was incredible. The material did not tear, fray, or even show signs of use, even though I was doing tons of physically demanding things in it that caused other materials to rip.

It self-cleaned as I was in and out of the water all day, every day. Between getting sweaty, muddy, covered in gravel, and everything else, it would dry almost instantly whenever it wasn't getting wet again.

I wore it the day after training, and it had ZERO signs of wear and tear and ZERO stains, even though it should have been destroyed based on what I put it through. Let's just say it bested me because I was destroyed from head to toe, but this windbreaker was not.

So I obviously bought another one in Chalk. I wear these every day, living as an athlete and outdoorswoman in Maine its perfect for our seasons, in the canoe, and then out to dinner than for a long run its all around a perfect piece of clothing. Id been searching for something with this material for a long time and nothing met my needs until Janji!

This jacket is everything I was hoping it would be. So light weight but keeps the wind off while running and the hood design is nice in that I don't feel suffocated when its up but it helped keep my ears warm. 10/10 recommend.

its a yes, hood stays on in the wind, great in the high desert, packable, good layer, lightweight, not noisy. much better than some of the other comparable lightweight runner windbreakers out there right now. The fabric on one of mine got a little fuzzies from wearing a sling, but my pack that does not slide did not wear the fabric. no regrets.

This jacket was surprisingly warmer than I expected while still as thin as tissue paper, but somehow durable. Small venting slots are built in that reduce the weight of the jacket as well. Thoughtfully placed, large pockets can hold a variety of things. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by this jacket. For reference, I live in the mountains near Aspen, CO around 8,000 ft elevation & am using this for some early season runs & end of season nordic skiing at 10,000 ft elevation.

Janji makes the best running clothes and this jacket is no different. It fits great. The material is soft yet durable. I appreciate both the side pockets and 1 chest pocket for stashing things on a run. It cuts wind but it is breathable. Fantastic for both trail running and road running. The blue color is really beautiful. Reflectors just where you want them for visibility. I'd highly recommend this light wind breaker jacket if you are in the market for on! Note: I typically am a small in other brands but an XS in Janji. This fit is not too snug but not too loose. This jacket would be great for just around town on days with light precipitation and wind.

I am training for the Badger Mountian Challenge in Tri Cities WA. One of the difficult parts of the course is on McBee to Chandler Butte. Known for its unforgiving wind- this little gem was perfect. I wore only a thermal LS, neck gator and this jacket- it was perfect. I love the way the hood adjust at the back of the head to really keep it in place. The hood even protected me from the brutality my cheek would have endured had it been absent! Ran in some light rain, and stayed dry.

My first piece by Janji and definitely not my last.

Highly highly recommend!!!! It is so lightweight and the quality of the materisl is great.

For running/hiking, I wanted light light weight, breathability, and zippered pockets. I didn’t want my undergarment to show, nor for the fit to be too slim, nor for the hood to be too clunky. The Zephyrunner met all my wishes. It's a runner's dream. And there's a HUGE PLUS - equally important these days especially - Janji is a company committed to making the world a better, cleaner, and healthier place from the get-go. For all of these reasons, it was a no brainer for me to purchase another Zephyrunner (from REI) for my nephew’s 25th birthday. I’m really picky and, as such, thrilled to find Janji.

Amazing Jacket, lightweight, packable, the fit and coverage are perfect. it's very well designed. and its QUIET :) Super happy at first.
BUT after just a few wears, for short under 3 mile walk/jogs, my padded cross body bag revealed the flaw in the fabric, it started showing little fibers, not pilling, but clearly the fabric is delicate and I stopped wearing it, because I am afraid it won't last. I am not sure what to do, I don't like to wear ratty things.

This jacket is lightweight and fits into a small pouch, which fits in my pace tights pocket (also janji!) so i'm never worried carrying it on long runs, I can take it off and not worry about the weight.

I bought this jacket in late January and used it with a vest only once. Washed it on the delicate setting and only air dried it. I’m so disappointed in the quality. Hopefully I can get my money back from REI. I probably won’t buy another Janji product after this.

I need a jacket that would keep me warm and cool running weather.

I brought it out a few weeks ago in the 37 mph wind in my city, and it was great. I synched the back of the hood and there was no wind tunnel down my neck under my ears.

Was trying to find a comparable dupe for OR windshirt and totally found it. It’s perfect for running in the rain, snow, and wind. Breathable but for how light it is actually does keep me warm& dry on snowy day/ rain runs. Love the portability, fits in daypacks, diaper bags, even a handbag for a recent wedding which was outside and windy.

I got this for long distance running. When it’s 18° or lower, I’ve been wearing it over a thin long sleeve and it’s perfect. If it’s in the 20s or higher, I wear it over a tank top. I thought I’d branch out and bring it on a business trip where I might be walking around and it was pretty magical. I’m not a slight build and I needed some room in the bust/shoulder area and the medium fits well but not too tight. If you run, you absolutely need one of these. And honestly, for other events, it fits perfectly in a purse.

AMAZING

Love this wind shell. It is deceptively light and attractive, but does its job! I am a “smedium” in tops 5’4” and 125 lbs with broad shoulders and the medium fits well.

This jacket is incredible in wind but also surprisingly light and comfortable. No odd fabric rubbing sounds. Fits great.

Loved this jacket so much that I bought a second one. Super lightweight and easy layer to take off. Lots of pockets and the bungee around the hood lets you to keep it secured on your head. Great staple piece!
