I read a bunch of a reviews and even purchased a handful of different jackets as this will be the first time I plan to log serious mileage during winter in the PNW. I had purchased a Gorewear Concurve that was way too tight and tried on a bunch of different Colombia, Mountain Hardware and Ten Thousand stuff that either didn’t breathe great or have great water proofing. The venting on this does a pretty good job keeping the perspiration down. I’m 6’0-6’1” and about 185-190lbs and the Large fit well in the shoulders and through the arm. It is scalloped so the back runs a little longer than the front which I’m fine with. Some may not prefer it that way. Definitely would recommend and buy again. Trying to convince my wife she needs a new running jacket is next on the agenda.
Heavier than some of my other rain jackets but it has a higher waterproofing and works! It will definitely keep you warm too, so be mindful of the weather you wear it in.
I’ve barely tested it running, but tend to use this as an everyday rain protection in the PNW and have no complaints. Wore it running a couple times without much rain and found it breathable and comfortable. I just wish the length of this matched the length of the thermal runner jacket. I bought them as a pair so I could also use them as a bundle for cold rain weather, but the thermal jacket is a few inches longer than this rain jacket past the waist so it looks a little funky when layering, but I still like how they feel and work in combo.
M's Rainrunner Pack Jacket 2.0
This is my second time buying the jacket. Wore out the first one after many miles on it. Love the fit and pocket configuration. Version 2.0 just got better with the hood adjustment.
I'm writing this review having not yet worn this jacket in the rain. I did try it on after receiving it in the mail today. The fit and style are amazing! I can tell by the type of material it will be water resistant. If possible, I'll add to the review after I've worn it in the rain.
Hard to say more. I’ve had so many waterproof breathable jackets and so far this is the best one I have used.
I received the jacket for Christmas. It’s a nice jacket. Light weight with quality seams. I haven’t worn it in the rain yet. It does a nice job of blocking out wind.
This is my third running specific rain jacket and by far my favorite. It is an incredibly light jacket and keeps you dry without soaking you in sweat. Other rain jackets that I have had weren't breathable and had restrictive ranges of movement. Already purchased one for my wife and I am looking to get another for my daughter.
I got this for my son. He said it’s a great layer for misty runs in DC.
