Took this jacket on a trip to New Zealand and it exceeded expectations. Wore it on runs in the rain, and also as a casual rain jacket, and it kept me bone-dry. Wore this boating under a literal waterfall and came out dry. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

I'm 5'11" and the medium is more snug than loose, but I prefer that than having excess material.
