These shorts are my first Janji purchase and I can see why people like them. The fit is perfect. I like having several zip pockets and places to stash things even though I don't use more than 1 or 2 of them - it's nice to have options. The material is light and comfortable and the style works to go out for coffee after a run.

Little bit of chafe going on if you dont wear any liner but the quality and breathability completely outweighs that. The chafe is pretty insignificant just something to add

These are easily some of the best running shorts I’ve owned. The fabric feels incredibly light and comfortable, even on long runs in the Arizona heat. The pocket layout is nearly perfect—I can easily carry my phone, nutrition, keys, and other essentials without anything bouncing or feeling awkward. The durability has also been outstanding. After plenty of miles, repeated washes, and hard trail use, they’ve held up extremely well. If you’re looking for a versatile pair of shorts for everything from daily training to ultras, these are hard to beat.

Great amount of pockets, love the fabric as well.

Besides great gear, I want to say that Janji has incredible customer service! It is such a breath of fresh air in the society we live in now. I am very, very impressed!

These are my favorite running shorts hands down. Lightweight, perfect length, and enough storage for what I need.

The shorts seem like they have a lot of pockets however they’re pretty flowy and wide, and the waist is way too big for the sizing listed. I am a medium and literally every brand and I was swimming in these and couldn’t tighten them enough to fit my waist. I purchased them on discount so they can’t be returned, but was able to give them to a friend.

Light and comfortable. Pockets and storage are perfect. Length is a little shorter than 5”. Liner is very soft and thin. Great for hot weather. Favorite shorts ever.

I bought these in a size medium, which is what I have in the regular AFO Middle Short. The Ultra seems to fit slightly bigger. The quality is still great but I might should have sized down to a small

Great for storage. Runs a little big.

Went with my size based on the sizing chart. Unfortunately they are really large on me still and are unfortunately uncomfortable to run in due to this. For the cost it’s gonna be tough to order a new pair. If they fit correctly , they probably would have been comfortable and a go to pair of shorts.

Best shorts on thr market

After purchasing three pairs of these shorts, I think it is time to review. I live in Houston, Texas and run about 30-40 miles per week, mostly outdoors. These shorts are amazing. They have lots of pockets, and great materials and a great liner. They handle heavy sweat super well. I cannot stress enough how great the pockets are. Big running is anti-pocket. And I am willing to pay extra because these are simply the best.

The janji quality is amazing, great fit and design.

Great pockets and material.

I prefer the AFO line of shorts over the multi shorts which have the double waist lining for storage. The front key pocket in the AFO’s is a perfect non shake location for a phone, just like the non ultra AFO’s. The zippered pockets are great for stashing a wind or rain jacket and after-run around town utility. The gel pockets are great non shake location for phone as well or other heavier items. I tend toward the ultra AFO’s for trail runs, and the non-ultras for road runs.

I have run in a lot of shorts (Brooks, The North Face, Saucony, Mizuno, Adidas, Nike, New Balance, etc.). Ran a ten miler in first run with them, and they felt incredible.

Running the Chicago marathon in October and this will be the race day short!
