I love the shorts. The pockets are great and it wears great. The only thing that would make it better is if there was a shirt loop in the back as well.
My design rec would be to make the logo an elastic shirt loop. That would complete these shorts.

Pockets allow for every day wear and climbing and hiking as opposed to just running shorts. I do miss the breathable waistband on the normal afos though

Used them on a few ultramarathons (50 miler and 100 miler) and these shorts were amazing. I didnt feel the need to change on the 100 miler.

My first dabble into 5" shorts, phone pocket fits a regular iPhone, side pockets are good for gels, bars, etc, and the hidden key pocket works great as well. Very impressed.

Ultra Good Ultra shorts

The AFO Middle Short Ultra is a fantastic running short. Comfortable, quick drying, and utilitarian for ultra distance training and racing. They work great for me and I'd love to see them in a 7" length as well.
