M's Repeat Merino Long Sleeve
Plan to buy more as the quality and fit is great!!
I picked up the long sleeve Repeat Merino recently as was looking for a higher quality long sleeve for cooler weather, and for layering as the temps drop. I have a short sleeve which fits well and was curious about this. I've been involved in endurance sports for many years and am fairly thin / fit which makes finding something that fits a little challenging. So many clothes these days are sized to be more 'inclusive,' though that tends to exclude those of us to work hard at fitness. While this has a little extra room on me, the fit is more on the slim side and it fits the shoulders well.
While I purchased this primarily for running, it's very versatile and can be used for just about any activity, wouldn't hesitate to take it along for shoulder season backpacking trips or just throw it on for every day, as it's very comfortable. My only wish is that it was offered in a neutral darker grey. I picked up the slate, which is between blue and grey, may have to grab a black one as well. Highly recommend!
I am newer to running and live in the Midwest US. As fall has come and temperatures are dropping, I’ve found this to be a go to item for upper 40s to lower 60s. It’s very lightweight and breathable yet has kept me warm enough when starting on a chilly day. I haven’t used it in wind yet, and I imagine it may not hold up as well to lower temps with wind due its lightweight nature.
Will likely buy one more
These are by far the best wool shirts I have ever worn, wear it all day and then to bed. They do not itch at ALL. Unlike the smart wool stuff, I have worn in the past.(no more) . I bot one to try and now own 5.
Just bought a second one on a recent sale. It’s one of the best cool weather running shirts I’ve ever owned, and is also a fantastic base layer for colder hiking and camping. Super soft, dries quick if it gets wet, overall a great shirt!
Really like this shirt, mainly using for bike rides or runs in cooler weather, very breathable, seems to wick sweat nicely and fits well, slim and slightly longer torso but true to size for me. Definitely recommend
The Janji repeat merino shirt is my all-time favorite shirt. I own maybe ten of them. Half of which are the long sleeved version. I use the shirts for both casual wear (they’re so comfy) and exercise. I just purchased the slate color in the long sleeve option. However, I was very disappointed to find that Janji has removed the rear collar loop! Janji, why??! That is one of the key features of this shirt. I’m a runner and, because these shirts manage odor so well, I can get multiple wears out of each before washing. I use the loop on the back to hang the shirt from a hook in my bathroom. This method allows for faster drying versus laying the shirt over the tub. And it’s also convenient when camping, for the same reason. Honestly, had I realized the hook was removed, I wouldn’t have purchased this year’s version. Janji also changed the orientation and cut off the thumb holes, though this is less of an issue for me.
I haven’t worn my new slate repeat merino yet, but I think this is still a great shirt. But it’s lost some functionality. I’d you don’t care about the hanging loop, I recommend it. It’s very comfortable, light, stylish, and dries pretty quickly. But for me, the absence of the loop is a deal breaker. I’ll definitely check before buying in the future.
