The AURAS Ultrafleece hoodie is your new go-to for adventures where minimizing pack weight is the name of the game. The proprietary Astra fleece was developed for cold days when you want breathable, ultra fast-drying warmth, and hard efforts where you need to carry as little as possible while still being prepared. With a mesh exterior and one-sided brushed fleece interior, this fabric carries moisture away from your skin to prevent chill. The fleece interior traps air to keep you warm, and the mesh face minimizes weight for longer days on the trail when a heavier pack will slow you down.

Features
  • Fast-drying, moisture-wicking comfort
  • Brushed fleece interior insulates for warmth
  • Integrated thumb holes keep sleeves in place
  • Super lightweight and pack friendly - packs down into its own side zip pocket
  • Half-zip for adjustable breathability
  • 180º visibility hood

Based on what this product is made of, I'm obligated to write a review to help ensure people are making informed decisions before purchasing (at the time of writing this there aren't any reviews). The material that this is made out of is very similar to Alpha Direct. For those who haven't worn anything made from Alpha Direct, the warmth to weight ratio is unbeatable but with a material like this there are some different pro's and con's to consider.

Pro's - extremely light weight, breathable, packable, (warmth to weight ratio is unclassed).
Con's/trade offs - durability (i.e. wearing this under a vest might see friction related wear and tear, or potential snags on tree branches), with this level of breathability, wind will go straight through this.

With all of that said though, the high level of breathability is definitely a feature not a bug though / if you pair this with a wind shell, the combo can tackle pretty chilly conditions without a problem.

Overall it's a great piece of kit and sizing/quality is in line with other Janji products so won't go much into that but just wanted to make sure people have the extra details on the material since it's a bit hard to tell in the pictures / description.

P.S. - it would probably be a good idea to wash in a "delicate" wash bag to avoid potential washing related wear and tear
