These are excellent cool weather tights. I use them for basic all day under my pants in Telluride and for skiing. I liked them so well, I know have 3 pairs.
I bought these in October for winter activities in New England. Although the cold is only starting to set in (Review written on 11/4/24) I can already tell these tights will be great.
First, the fleece lining feels fantastically warm and cozy.Im pretty slim and they fit very well, although Im not sure how a person with more curves would enjoy them. They are incredibly comfy, but because they're more insulated than normal tights they have less stretch that a curvier person might want. Def try a pair on at REI.
Second the pockets are perfect. The wind stop fabric makes more of a difference than I expected, and on those windy winter days will be wonderful. I especially appreciate how comfortable the thigh pockets are, because I've never found a pair of running shorts / tights where my phone didn't bounce and annoy me. These tights are so well engineered that True Story, I looked for my phone for 20 minutes only to realize it was infact, in my tights.
They regulate temp well, which is crucial for winter activities. There;s nothing worse than something that keeps you warm but makes you sweat.
Lastly, they look good, and for someone who was always a bit hesitant to wear tights, I wear these all the time.
Strong work, Janji.
Finally men’s tights that have it all… Quality construction, check. Comfortable, check. Fleece lining, check. Pockets, check. Look great (but are not too flattering), check. Highly recommend.
Wore these on a cool night run. Great fit. Great pockets. Looking forward to wearing when it is cold to see how they go then. I’m not concerned cuz all the Janji gear is awesome. I am between sizes with Janji tights. Either M or L are fine.
It's a great tights with enough warmth, ideal long tights for winter running and sporting.
Love, love the wind block shields and slightly thicker fabric for these running tights. Absolutely ideal for below freezing temps and/or winter winds. My first experience in these was in 30° with a windchill of 22°. Will definitely be my ‘go to’ running tights throughout the winters ahead.
I absolutely LOVE these! Very warm and the print is great! I'm in between on sizes so I probably can go down a size but that's on me. I'll definitely order some more as needed
These will be great for sub-freezing runs. They fit similar to the Groundwork Tight but the addition of the large zippered pockets is a great improvement. The fleece lining is soft and warm but doesn’t add much bulk.
Bought these tights for easy fall and winter running in New England. Fleece lining is soft and feels great next too skin, almost too warm for temps above freezing. Took these on a 4-miler and the pockets carried light gloves, a buff, headband, and iPhone--no bounce, with plenty of room to spare.
Nice cooler weather tights, adequate to about 20F for me. Reflective highlights are good. Would have preferred the double side pockets (like the Trail tights) to the single side and front pockets that are on the Boreal.
