I bought this for casual wear and I rarely have it off right now, but also recently I paced a friend overnight in a ultra race and it was perfect as a second layer for that activity. It can definitely work as a casual top that you then can do a cold weather run in before washing

This shirt looks great and is very soft; you could definitely sneak this into your office wardrobe if you were motivated to do so. It is both warm and breathable which is a great combo for colder mornings. I actually used this shirt as a mid-layer over the long sleeve merino tee on a 27°F morning and that combo was surprisingly effective.
