Love them for running and travel!

I have two pairs of these pants, one is last year’s version in a L and one is this year’s version in an XL. I have a curvier shape with wide hips and thick thighs so I was worried they wouldn’t be flattering or comfy. The XL is definitely a lot baggier and the L is tighter especially in the hips and thighs but I still love them both! I’ve used them as an outer layer over my groundwork winter tights when running in the wind and cold this winter and they kept me comfortable even when it was very chilly. The only negative I have is that the string sometimes pulls itself into the waistband when in the wash and I have to work it back out again but I just need to remember to tie them before washing. Not sure if I should say runs small or runs large as my newer version seems a little oversized but my older pair runs smaller!

Not too long for short folks!

I've held back from buying these pants every year because I assumed at 5'2 they would be too long on me, but I just wound up grabbing a pair in the bark color from an end of season sale, and I've been living in them since I got them. The inseam hits right at my ankle, and they're surprisingly easy to cuff if I want them to hit a little higher. I bought them in my normal size small (27in waist, 37in hips), and I'm able to layer them over my groundwork tights easily. I ran some errands in them in the rain, and was surprised to notice that barely any water soaked through, and the little bit that did dried within minutes of getting home. I also love all of the zip pockets, especially the back one which makes it easy for me to bike commute without my phone getting in the way of pedaling. Already planning on picking up more colors.

My favorite pant, for everything.

I have worn the Janji transit tech pant for a few months now, and they have become my favorite for everything I do. They hold up to dragging knees across sandstone boulders, look great for casually strolling through town, and are now my go to for cold weather runs. I ran a 33 mile race in 20 degree weather, and they were fantastic. I had no issues with chaffing or the fit feeling off, they were just perfect.
For reference, I'm 5'9 and an athletic 135lbs. I'm often a medium(because...thighs...), but in Janji pants I've found the small actually works better for me.

Very versatile

I wear them as an outer layer. Water and wind resistant (tested in Maine during a nor'easter) . Perfect for keeping me comfortable during inclement weather.

OBSESSED

Excuse me while I buy these in every color. I absolutely hate wearing leggings while running and these pants have no resistance to movement, no slippage or “feels like my pants are falling down” every 5 minutes. I almost forgot I had pants on.

As for the weather resistance, I am pretty happy. Living in Seattle really put this to test. Ran for about an hour in a light rain, paired with a jacket, and stayed warm and dry. The tops of my quads started to seep through a little bit but anymore waterproof and they probably wouldn’t be breathable or comfortable. They also dried super fast once out of the rain, which is rare in 85% humidity.

Great windbreaker layer for winter running

I bought these as a water/wind resistant second layer for winter running, and they've been great in that regard. Paired with a second layer, they've enabled me to run comfortably in 0F to 32F degrees weather, including precipitation, and that's been great. The description said they're designed for layering and that's been the case. They're not form-fitting, and that's made them work well for how I wear them.

Great but could be like REALLY great

Gonna start off by saying I love these pants!!! They are super comfy. They’re perfect for cooler (not cold) weather. If you have the mercury joggers, they’re a similar cut but lighter weight and a little more form fitting. I do have a couple qualms with these pants however. The waist band tie slips into the pants and it’s a massive pain to get back out. I ended up sewing one side shut more so it doesn’t keep slipping back in, we’ll see how that holds up. The other annoying thing would be the hem of the pant legs. They’re not sewn all the way around so there’s a gap where your toes can get stuck when you’re putting them on which induces that keys getting stuck on the door handle feeling… if you know what I mean lol. With all Janji pants I do wish they were ever so slightly more form fitting. They definitely run a little big, there always seems to be too much material in the front.
I truly think with a few tweaks these would be the ultimate pair of pants. I’ll probably get another pair in the future and hope Janji works out some of these kinks before then!
