W's 5" Pace Short

Bought these to replace my (well loved) black 7" pace shorts from 2021 and was pleased with the shorter version! These are my go to race shorts for all distances 5k-marathon! Within days of getting this pair, I wore them to a very rainy half marathon followed by a hot and sunny one the weekend after. Performed well at each one.
The pockets are the best part. The material is unmatched, and super wicking. The updated grippy "dots" on the thigh work well to keep things where they should be and was a much needed update from the grip strip that would peel off of earlier versions on the Pace shorts.
The only negative I can think of is to make sure you're putting Glide or something to prevent chafing at your belly button with the drawstring at longer distances, it will rub.
Overall, I LOVE these shorts and will always be my go-to as long as I can run!! I ♡Janji!

these are the best shorts ever. i will do laundry just to make sure they're clean for my next run. they stay in place and are perfectly compressive. pockets hold everything for all length runs. just ran my second marathon in these shorts and will never pick another pair to race in.

I have been wearing Zoot and Coeur short for the last 10-15 years. With the rapidly rising price points of both, I thought I'd try another up and coming brand. I found this Janji online in a running article about 'The Best Running Shorts', and took a chance on this unknown brand (to me). I could not be more pleased. These shorts have far surpassed my expectations, and their mission to also help others resonated with me. The pockets are a convenience I plan to utilize on log runs for fuel (although if someone could tell me where the fourth mysterious pocket is I'd be thrilled- I see the two hip pockets, the back waist one...where is the fourth?), the grippy bands on the thighs hold up and prevent sliding, there is no 'thick' crotch pad to cause chafing, you never feel seams that can also cause irritation, the fabric is like a soft, buttery second skin, the length is perfect for those who aren't very tall (it's hard to find 5-inch shorts compared to 7-inch), shipping was fast and affordable (I am in Hawaii and this is rare)... I literally have no complaints other than I wish there were colors available! I came online to buy more shorts for myself for Christmas, but thought I'd share my experience in case you're on the fence and unsure about trying a new brand. If you care about the planet, and are looking for a great pair of shorts, this is definitely the right place to support. Janji- you have won over a fan in Kona, Hawaii.

I’ve been searching for a nice pair of 5” compression shorts that won’t ride up, and these are amazing!! Wore them for the first time today 8.5mi in the pouring rain…don’t think I could have tested them any harder than that if I’d tried, and they were incredible. Comfortable, excellent pockets, perfect amount of compression, zero chaffing, and they didn’t move an inch, even soaking wet! If you’re on the fence at all, buy them! You won’t regret it. For reference I’m 5’10”, 150lbs and the medium fit perfectly.

I only wish they would make these in 10 different colors and I would buy them all. These are the only shorts I’ve found that actually stay in place while running. Pockets are deep and hold everything I need. No running belt required!

wore these right out of the bag for a trail marathon, they didn’t move once throughout the whole time. no chafing, and really comfortable

I have been searching and searching for running tights in a 5" inseam length that have pockets, are comfortable, and won't ride up while running. Look no further, these shorts are perfect. The fabric is extremely soft and comfortable and doesn't chafe, there are useful pockets for your phone, keys, and gels, and they did not move once during a 6 mile run. My only gripe is that there aren't more colors in the 5" inseam length. Lightly compressive fit so they are snug but comfortable. The size chart is pretty accurate.
