Love them!

These are great! They stay put without riding and prevent inner thigh chafe (very necessary for those of us without a thigh gap). They're long enough to provide some coverage but not so long that you feel stifled or too hot and the material dries quickly. The waist band feels a little restrictive but does not move around AT ALL, I'm not going to complain about it because I raced last weekend and forgot I was wearing shorts!

Like the 7" but maybe even a little better

The 7" pace short has been my total go-to, but I think I like this even a little bit more, especially for those warm days. The great pocketing we know and love. Great fitting. Just all around thumbs up! A new favorite.

A perfect run short!

First off, I just want to say that I have 5" shorts from a different brand and have been not so patiently waiting for Janji to release their own 5" shorts. When that day came, I frantically purchased 2 pairs and went for a 6-mile run the day I received them. The fit is great--I thought the legs would ride up even with the silicone grippers, but I had no such problem. The pockets are the perfect size and depth, and it's easy to retrieve my phone if I need it. The shorts are a great length (I'm 5'2") and provide good compression, but aren't too thick. I ordered the same size that I wear for the 7/8 pace tights. I only wish that the shorts had a higher rise (rather than mid rise) but these are still a fantastic pair of run shorts overall.

I am fully obsessed with the 5"

I am fully obsessed with the new W 5" Pace shorts. I did one training run in them pre-Boston and I was SOLD. I immediately ordered a second pair and ran Boston in them after only running in them once -- that's how confident I was in their performance.

The 5" is the PERFECT length on me and what I prefer in my tighter shorts with just enough coverage for me at 5'10" and strong legs!

The dots at the bottom -- perfection. I don't think I moved them once.

The side pockets, amazing!! I find that other side pockets look bulky with stuff in them, but not these with my phone & headphones in one and two packs of chews in the other. I didn't even use the back pocket since the side pockets fit so much!

Inside back pocket, so great that I can feel secure about not losing anything. I put my ID and my Charlie card there and didn't need to worry about it.

They don't ride up or move as all, especially once you start sweating a bit it really holds them in place.

I got through a sweaty, hot, sunny Boston 2024 with NO thigh chafing which is a real miracle.

Holy Grail Short

I have never been so compelled to write a review for a pair of shorts. These are easily the best running shorts I've ever worn. They didn't budge an inch, and I always have trouble with the legs riding up. They're magic!

My favorite short tights yet

These are the best short tights I have ever worn! The 5” length is the perfect length for me - I’m on the shorter side at 5’2”. I’ve found 3.5” is a little too short and ride up, and 7” is a little too long especially in warmer weather. We just entered shorts weather where I live, and after wearing them for the first time I thought I’d buy a second pair, but they are already sold out in my size.

Exactly What I Needed

The 5" Pace Short is a much needed and appreciated addition to the lineup! It's the perfect length for shorter folks like myself. Comfortable and functional for running, cycling, and cross training. Size Medium fits perfectly for my hips with adjustable draw cord waist. Measurements: H: 4'10” Waist: 27” Hip: 40”

This short is exactly what I needed. In fact it's exactly what I asked for. My review of the original Pace Short was used in the email announcement for this new length Pace.

Whether this was already in the works or my review is what initiated the 5" Pace, I'm so pleased that Janji is a responsive company that is really invested in their runners. Thanks a million!

Dream shorts

In love with the 5" Pace shorts - they're literally a dream. Perfect length for me, breathable material, grippy silicone that doesn't make your legs feel like sausages, roomy phone/snack pocket. Love, love, love. Please make more colors or restock :)

For sizing reference, I am on the upper end of S per the size chart, but I preferred how the medium fit on my legs (muscular trail thighs, y'all!). Small fit better in my waist but with the drawstring, the medium works well.
