This is the most cleverly designed shoe. It has plenty of cushion without giving up trail feedback. The protective striped material conforms to your foot. The wider toe box is perfect for long hot days. The super sticky yellow tread will help you walk up walls🤣. The integrated mesh (I’m not sure if it is a plastic or alloy mesh) is perfect for allowing the shoe to evacuate any water that gets in from fording a stream. Also I run on very technical trails with a lot of flinty chert. I never get more than 300 miles out of a training shoe. I just hit 500 miles on these and there is still tread and the cushioning hasn’t collapsed. I had never owned a pair of LaSportiva’s before. And i love the crazy Janji colorway. I hope this collaboration was fruitful and there will be more in the future.
I’ve worn these on a few short runs so far and like them. I normally wear a women’s 9 or 9.5 and ordered a size 10 in this shoe. I think a 9.5 would have been too short in the toe box. Sharing that in case it helps others determine the right size. I was also worried about the shoe being too narrow because La Sportiva tends
to run narrow, but these are fairly wide. I really like the rugged soles and overall fit, but am getting used to so much cushion. I used to run in La Sportiva (men’s to get a wider shoe) and am hoping this style lasts a little longer.
I bought these LaSportiva Jackals for my wife. Got her one size larger and they fit perfectly. She raves about them constantly. Wears them frequently. She loves the light weight, sturdy construction, and that they match her other Janji gear!
Great fit, looks great-receive lots of compliments. Followed suggestion to order 1/2 size larger.
Fit perfect around the house. Sized up 1/2 size per others’ suggestions. Still too small on the trail when I started running downhill. Toes hit the end, even w heel locked laces. Love the feel of the shoe and am hoping a 7 or 7.5 does the trick. Am usually a size 6 in Altra
Solid trail shoe
thought the shoe would be like my original Akasha model only in bright colors. Boy, was I wrong. This has too much heel to toe drop and no metatarsal cushioning at all. I feel totally ripped off.
