W's 5" Pace Short

Perfect length. Great for running and climbing.

I've logged tens of thousands of running miles at this point in my life (rocking middle age), and I've never been so delighted by a pair of shorts! I'm curvy and bottoms have always been the trickiest thing for me (aside from sports bras as a mom, but that's a separate novel); chaffing, constant adjustments, unflattering cut, material too thin, etc... and these solve for all of it. First off I got a size large when I'm measuring into the medium, but it makes them the rise I prefer which is high, up to my navel. The legs not being super tight doesn't affect the function of the little rubber grippers and these never ride up. They are so flattering! The length of the inseam, seams, and the fact that the bottom leg opening doesn't have a seam/cuff just makes for a really streamlined and athletic look. Having sturdy legs with curvy hips and thighs, shorts often make me look "cut off" in a strange place and widen me. Not these babies! The pockets are the most functional pocket I've ever had in a short hands down. Typically pockets are too small and can't fit an iPhone, or there's too much bouncing which is annoying and causes chafe on long runs. For this reason I've been running with a small waist belt for years. I'm in awe that I can run with my phone in these, for longer runs (tested to 16 miles so far) and am totally comfortable and no chafe. It makes it so easy to grab it to change music or take a pic, I barely have to slow down! And I put keys in the rear waist pocket and nutrition in the other side. Incredibly liberating! I've now purchased 3 of these and don't want to run in anything else. I also ordered the trail tights and look forward to giving those a spin for colder days. I'm telling everyone about these shorts and sending them the link! ONE NOTE (but not taking a star off): I have shorts from another company that don't have a seam down the center of the crotch (gussetted?) and I'm able to run in them without underwear because of this. Unfortunately with these Janji shorts that's not possible due to appearance and chaffing - so back to workout thongs. I'd love to see a future version make that upgrade! Thanks Janji...keep it up, and I'm a customer for life.

I love the 7” pace shorts but these are such a cute cut!!!! Wore these during my first 50km and did not chafe at all.

These shorts are AMAZING. The grippers keep the legs in place. No chafing, no riding up. Great pocket space. Drawstring if you need it but even without tightening the drawstring, they didn’t budge on my five mile run plus lift afterward.

Love these shorts. They are very comfortable. It does not move around and the legs stay put. No chafing. I don't know why they don't have more colors? I wanted to get another with a different color because these shorts are the best I've found so far for marathon running.

This is my third pair of pace shorts and I absolutely love them. It is difficult to run in anything else now!

Bought these to replace my (well loved) black 7" pace shorts from 2021 and was pleased with the shorter version! These are my go to race shorts for all distances 5k-marathon! Within days of getting this pair, I wore them to a very rainy half marathon followed by a hot and sunny one the weekend after. Performed well at each one.
The pockets are the best part. The material is unmatched, and super wicking. The updated grippy "dots" on the thigh work well to keep things where they should be and was a much needed update from the grip strip that would peel off of earlier versions on the Pace shorts.
The only negative I can think of is to make sure you're putting Glide or something to prevent chafing at your belly button with the drawstring at longer distances, it will rub.
Overall, I LOVE these shorts and will always be my go-to as long as I can run!! I ♡Janji!
